I must tell you I am a beginner student photographer. I really had to do my research on my lighting equipment. At first, I was told the wrong thing, of course, I was frustrated I almost returned everything thig, I stuck with it. I asked questions and I got answers. This HSS Remote is awesome. Note HSS allows you to go beyond shutter sync speed and be in bright sunny light and you have control of the ambient light while using a fast lens (ie. f/1.8, f/2.8 ect). It's a must have in order to use HSS functions. Reading the manual is good but youtube videos helped me a ton. Happy shooting

I haven't quite figured it out to be able to use it wirelessly, but I am hopeful :)

Purchased the Flashpoint Streaklight AD 360 and this remote thinking it would work with the new R2 commander. It does not. This is the R1, 433mhz. Nothing wrong with it except that it is the old, slower radio signal and does not connect with the newer stuff.

I picked up a demo model of this trigger with a receiver because I needed something HSS compatible to use with my 600w AC/DC strobe for an upcoming outdoor shoot. I didn't really have any expectation, I just needed it to work. I didn't realize I had just stumbled across the highest quality trigger for the price on the market. I now use this trigger and the receivers on all the strobes in my studio (there was no need for me to get the R2 because I do not use Flashpoint strobes). The R1 trigger and receivers are perfect universal wireless HSS triggers for any application--from my professional studio right down to a hobbiest just getting into strobe photography. I would highly recommend these products to anyone.

I like it when it works. I have a brand new Canon 5D Mark IV and use 2 Flashpoint flashes and the the flashes don't always trigger. Every 4 or 5 frames the flash doesn't either go off or doesn't sync with shutter. When it fires, it looks great.

Works just as it should with my Flashpoint RL600B giving me HSS with my Canon 6D.

Had no issues synching 7D and 30D to universal Flashpoint gear and using HSS to 1/8000th sec.

I have a couple of Rovelight 600Bs and wanted to be able to do high speed shooting. Got one transiver for my Canon 5d mkiii and another for the Rovelight. It also alows HSS on my Canon 600EX-RT when off camera.

As far as HSS triggers go, it works as advertised. My first pair contained one unit that had some kind of short and wouldn't hold HSS on my camera body. The replacement was sent immediately and it works fine. As a HSS trigger, it works fine, but I find Yongnuo 622 or 622-TX units just as good and they are also compatible with the flash head. The HSS tranceiver is a little bulky and will also require velcro or an attached cold shoe on the remote flash head to hold it firmly in place. There is a tranceiver-mounted hotshoe that will allow the mounting of either a speedlite or another remote trigger. It is handy to mount the Flashpoint RoveLight's remote trigger in the hotshoe to enable adjusting the power level up or down while using the HSS tranceiver to control the HSS function. If you already have a HSS compatible trigger, this one is not needed, but if you don't already own one, then this is an affordable way to shoot up to 1/8000 sec outdoors and sync your flash.

Recently purchased the unit to use with a Flashpoint StreakLight 360 manual kit for Canon. Did some testing over the weekend and it worked fine, now I am able to shoot above sync speed ( HSS ) on a Canon 5D mark III using the StreakLight 360 (manual flash kit ).

I used this to get HSS with a flashpoint strobe and a Canon 6D. Works like it should. I was able to get a high enough shutter speed to cut out the ambient light. Exactly what I needed - and inexpensive too.

Enjoying the hi speed since now because of this. I know, you lose the control of changing the power of your Rovelights remotely... Or do you. You know you can pocket the original trigger and still be able to change the lights, right?

I just got mine in and I tried it but it didn't work as well as the regular trigger that came with the light. I had several shots where the flash didn't fire and I realize that it may be because I am not doing something right but as it is now, I would rather use the first trigger and keep my shutter speed at 250 or lower. I hope that I find a video that explains how to use these and how to troubleshoot what is going on.

I purchased the R1 remote to unlock the potential for high speed sync with my Flashpoint RL-600B moonlight. I was pleased to learn that this setup works with the internal receiver on the flash head and a second R1 unit was not needed to act as a receiver on the flash side. The unit works flawlessly with decent range. It would be nice if you could control the flash power through this unit, but piggy-backing the transmitter that came with the RL-600 on to this unit works just fine.

Not only can you do HSS, it also works as a trigger for other strobes or cameras. Well worth the low cost

Bought this to do HSS with my Streaklight 360 but it did not work on my 1DMKIII. It does work on my 50D.

Nothing new to report from previous reviews. It does support HSS off camera, but does not have the capability of power changes from the unit. I haven't tried it out as a receiver for a flash or as a camera remote, which it is also capable of.

As with just about every other Flashpoint piece of gear I own this too is almost done right. Yes, it allows you to shoot in High Speed Sync which is in fact why I bought it. However, as stated in another review, you now no longer have the ability to actually change the power output of the Streaklight from the camera. And THAT is the reason I bought the system in the first place!!! So... It will now all go on ebay and I'll go back to Pocket Wizards and Speedlights.

Straight out of the box it worked for me first try. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's a bit on the bulky side. If it were the size of a PW MiniTT1, it would be a home run. Well worth having.

Works great and for the buck it is a great deal. Little bulky tho but do the trick. Would like to recommend this item if you want to have the high sync feature.

This is a Godox trigger with Flashpoint written on it. Doesn't fire off Flashpoint Rovelight without a receiver. Why would they come out with a HSS trigger that doesn't fire their own unit???
