Not only used for a general light source but as a rectangular shape in reflective and translucent objects.

• GLOW Softbox materials and construction are outstanding. The critical ingredients in any softbox are the internal reflective fabric, the front diffuser/baffle and the shape of the box.

• Every Glow product features removable double diffusors. Light spread is extremely even, pleasing and contrast balanced. Reinforced support rod pocket, seams and Velcro closures make assembly and setup trouble-free.

Defective Rod

By

from Philadelphia, PA

This was my first time with a lightbox, so putting it together was a bit more time consuming the first time around than I was expecting. However it went together pretty good for the most part. The area by the back does not seal up as tightly as the picture shows. I'm using a FP 320M light with it. However, the product came with a broken rod. The tip that connects to the speed ring was defective and came off. Due to the Adorama return policies, you need to ship the product back to them, where it will be reviewed, and then a replacement sent out. Meaning if you were planning on using it for a shoot, you will have to wait for a replacement, unlike other stores that send out a replacement while they wait for the return. Not impressed with Adorama at all. Back to the other NY store.

A Follow-up Review

By

from Greer, SC  -  Semi-Professional

Upon receipt of the returned soft box, it appeared to have the same issue... 3 of the 4 rod pockets sewn shut. In disappointment I was about to return again, however prior to doing so, I placed a question on the forum and awaited an answer, which I received from user Tammy (thanks so much) that indicated that I needed to really tug at the pockets to get them separated and get the rods inserted. This eventually did work and I was able to assemble. I would strongly advised some instructions to this effect to avoid unnecessary returns, but wanted to share this to assist other potential users. It took a good 20 - 30 min. to assemble, but after limited (2 shoots) use, I find in to be a great soft box with great value. I am considering additional sizes from this line. I would give it a 5, if it included some simple instructions. I am pleased and would indeed recommend.

Need to order Speed Ring separately

By

from Springfield, MA  -  Semi-Professional

My only disappointment was finding out that I needed to purchase a separate speed ring to be able to use this softbox with my Flashpoint 320M Monolight strobe after having been told that I didn't need to over the phone with a representative. Not very pleasing when I get it in the mail and find out I still can't use it. At least it looks like a decent quality build for the price based on the material alone.

great soft box

By

from San Diego, California  -  Semi-Professional

I have used this several times and have no problems with it. It did not come with instructions and I needed to order a speed ring which at first I didn't know I needed.
