About Flashpoint

Flashpoint ZeroGrav Stabilizer 3: The hybrid DSLR / DV designed member of the ZeroGrav family of smart value stabilizers that adds the feature of a jib-like arm for low angle shots. From the smallest to the boldest, the ZeroGrav line accomplishes the impossible.

A ZeroGrav essentially combines the stabilized steady footage of a conventional tripod mount with the fluid motion of a dolly shot and the flexibility of hand-held camera work. While smoothly following the operator's broad movements, the ZeroGrav's armature absorbs jerks, bumps, and shakes. For low-angle shots, the camera armature can be rotated vertically, putting the camera on the bottom, and the counterbalance on the top. This is referred to as "low mode" jibbed operation. While this is not a true jib, the flexible head joint and the aforementioned rotating column, gives this ZeroGrav iteration the clear creative advantage.

FlashPoint ZEROGRAV blends the best of gimbal based camera stabilization systems that links a dynamic spring powered arm supporting a gimbaled aluminum alloy monopod. All of the action and movement is controlled by a sophisticated blend of levers, springs, counterbalance weights and concentric ring connections that any user can master in a simple setup.

The handheld stabilizer grip is constructed from lightweight aluminum alloy. Wonderfully comfortable to handle, it gives the sensation of an 'anti-gravity' effect though its well thought out counterbalance system. The camera is attached directly to the platform or by means of a quick release adapter. Positive locking levers, micrometer geared adjusting knobs on clearly marked calibration scale, provide wide range north-south east-west settings for the slightest changes in equipment weight. Set up is simplified by fitting the socket port in the handle onto a standard diameter light stand and discovering true balance without touching the assembly. The stabilizer length creates fulcrum anti-swing and limits the need for additional disk weights. The experience is pure flow control for pans, walk-through's on flat terrain or even on steps.

Marvelous camera-in-motion shots without a dolly or 'flying' boom and crew.

Defy forces of gravity and master the physics of flexible balance.

Perform amazingly fluid walk-thru's and mobile-pans with grace and flare.

Walk, run, go up and down stairs, shoot from vehicles in motion and over uneven terrain without any instability or camera shake when recording video while hand-holding.

No room for error. Perfectly fashioned links, exquisitely finished surfaces, and silky smooth mechanism. Your shot is stable no matter the challenging motion and assured to astound the most demanding director.
