Flashpoiint Quick release
I would have given this rating more stars if it were not for the missing bushing that is shown in the photo. Also, when mounted directly to my Nikon D800, the plate screw became loose even after tightening it multiple times with the largest coin (quarter) that would fit the screw slot. I think I will have to use gaffer`s tape to add another base to get this to work. It even loosened on my 200 zoom lens which has a separate base foot. Both of these scenarios are risky when carrying your camera to different locations using the tripod.

suitable for certain uses
The rubber pads on it are soft enough that it won't solidly support a camera, however at that price point you can buy several and use them to mount things like flashes on your spare tripods.

Missing Parts
I bought two of these and neither came with the thread adapter as shown on the website. Very displeased. The part itself was of very nice quality though!.
