Bought 3 of these 1 for my video guy and 2 for me, well my video guy loves it says it worked as good as his 4 other expensive light but not as strongly made. Mine worked great for wedding photography, my second shooter loved it so much and was getting such great shots that I gave here one of mine to keep. The only reason I gave it 4 stars not 5 was the first time out the battery relies button broke off, but battery still stays on so no big deal but wish it was made a little stronger.

good little light, decent output for the size. only about an hr battery life, i did put some np-f960's on them which upped the time quite a bit. the lack of ac adapter is a little annoying, but its a pretty standard thing thats easy to get. great on a boom arm as a back light, or little pop light. don't go in thinking you will get the same intensity as even a lowell mini-pro (250w), you will be disappointed, but works well in conjunction with other lighting or for a dimmer look. will give you a little fill for daylight if you have a dim, or window key. barn doors would be nice. i ordered four for shoot, one came with a dimmer/chip/power issue. had to send it back for different one.

Purchased this and an Ikan iLed312 ( this flashpoint appears to be a copy of that light) to compare and decide if the Ikan price was justified. First off the build quality it OK not great but for the price it is good enough. The Ikan however is heavier and even feels and look sturdier. The accessories included with the Ikan are much much better, and the diffusion panel is way easier to attach. Even the charger is much nicer and swapping batteries is much easier on the Ikan. But all that aside the light output is actually the same as the ikan They both are bright and even. The only problem i noticed was a slight green shift on the 3200K setting. However the 5600K setting was exactly the same as the Ikan. So for the money you get almost the same light quality and same quantity. However I did end up returning the flashpoint brand because of one reason. The TEMPERATURE KNOB ON MY UNIT WAS REVERSED. (Bad quality control) Other than that this is a good light for someone starting out with LED Lights.

I use the unit for weddings and portraits. I absolutely love the ability to dim/brighten as well as alter the color temperature, depending on my ambient lighting conditions. I purchased one last year and loved it so much I bought another one for this wedding season. I gave it 4 stars because the design is not ultra durable. You have to be careful with how you carry and pack it. As far as functionality, it is amazing! I would definitely recommend this unit to a wedding or portrait photographer.

I have 3 of these units and use them especially when photographing interior spaces. The adjustable brightness & color temperature allow me to add the right quantity and quality of light. I also prefer them to fill flash in low light & night shooting. Plus you don't need power and they don't get hot. At least one unit is always in my bag.

I got this to shoot wedding dance floor work as well as a backdrop light when shooting portraits. Works great and the handle that comes with it makes it all the better. It has a metal shoe which I didn't know at the time and will be ordering another one.
