Spence B : Does these light provide tungsten and daylight temperatures?ERIC P : They do provide variable temperature light settings but not familiar with specific temperatures.KEN M : Yes...adjustableWILLIAM W : Yes, as well as a combination of the two. Temperatures on two arrays which can be blended to meet the needs of the job.HAROLD J : I have not used them for the two temps.BARRY R : Yes, there are two different dimmer knobs and different colored LEDs for the two temperatures. These lights aren't bad for studio use. I've taken mine out on location and they got beat up rather easily--all plastic. The batteries are not included and crazy expensive so I didn't buy them.
RANDY B : Does this set come with the individual LED light in the fixture?ELI W : Yes. It comes just as shown in the photos.KEN M : It does. with dimable switchesACCOUNTS P : There are probably 500 LED lights in the fixture.WILLIAM W : THis set comes as a pair of lights including stands and a case for the stands.NANCY N : 500 LED lights in rows. Great value. Poor handles on the lights themselves.BARRY R : No, there are several rows of very small LED light bulbs. They are pretty bright but the build Is plastic. They don't hold up too well to location shooting, although they are still working.
Uko C : Does this kit work for shooting products in studio? Is the light bright enough to take still life pictures?TIM P : These are only 500LED lights. That's not really a lot of LEDs. If you're shooting still life and can take long exposures, then of course they are bright enough...but with long exposures even a 60watt light bulb can be bright enough. Each light has half the LEDs balanced for sunlight and half for tungsten, so you really only get half the LEDs depending on your situation. You can use all the LEDs at the same time to brighten things up but then you have some color balancing issues. LEDs are also a bit harsh but that's the nature of the LED light. I use them primarily for fill lights when I can bring them in pretty close. Since they have dimmer type switches you can regulate the actual amount of light. For my use they are a good addition to the rest of my lighting, but I hesitate to recommend them as a primary lighting source. Others may disagree with me but that's the creative process.ERIC P : We use this light in a video production setting. We are extremely pleased with the amount of light it provides and would think it would be enough to shoot stills with. It has performed flawlessly for almost one-year with 10+ hours daily use. Hope that helps.BARRY R : Yes, they should be bright enough. They work pretty well, but they are not the most high-quality build out there. If you're looking for something economical that you won't pack up and move around a lot, they should work well. Best using a power cord, the batteries are crazy expensive.WILLIAM W : That depends on your camera equipment, yours lens and what you're hoping to achieve. For my purpose, which is video, the Flashpoint 500 kit worked very well both in the studio as well as on location. The ability to dial in your color temperature is a definite advantage as opposed to do the same thing with gels. The only disadvantage I saw in using these lights was the bright when going full tungsten or daylight, because only one of the two arrays functions at the extreme ends of the spectrum.JULIAN H : I did not use to take still life but for portrait picture and it was not good light to sue.
