I've purchased many of these frames.

I have 89 8X10 prints in Format frames on one wall of my office. They fit close together and look good. I have 15 16X20 Format frames in my living room. They look good without stealing attention from the prints.

Elegant and professional looking

By

from Alexandria, VA  -  Photo Enthusiast

Easy to install and mount. I ordered three of these frames along with other frames of smaller size. Adorama delivered on time but unfortunately, one arrived with a broken glass. Adorama's customer service quickly sent a replacement (no need to send the damaged frame back). The carrier managed to break the glass in the replacement frame also. I called a second time and Adorama sent a second replacement which now hangs proudly on my wall. The frame gets 5 stars, Adorama's customer service gets infinite stars, they have a customer for life. :)

Update: glass is very thin

By

from Los Angeles  -  Pro Photographer

Update, since I keep getting reminders to review this product after I already have a couple of times, here's an update. Glass is so large & fragile, glass also broke in the 2nd frame before I even got to use either one of the 2 I purchased. Had to throw away both 16x20 frames I ordered now. 11x14's are OK (1 was chipped of the 10 ordered) but if you want the larger sizes such as 16x20 consider buying local or buying a better frame.

Review update

Got some of these frames, mainly the 11x14 version, this glass is super easy to break since its thin & quite large. Handle carefully. Adorama does its best to package the frames, you'll get lots of bubble wrap to pop.

Frame it

By

Highly recommend getting those prints of ours framed. For eons I've had boxes of prints in the closest & then got around to finding these frames for a student art show I was doing. They're so easy to use & quite affordable, even with shipping think Ado has a good price on them. You'll likely need to remove the thin black backing board for mounted images. I find there's just enough room to place unmounted images on the backing board (tiny bit of tape to hold image) & then add an 8x10 matte makes for a really nice finishing touch.

Frame

Guess I'll be invited to rate these frames - 'til I do. They're simple, easy to use frames (in various sizes) & affordable. Quite easy to change the images, just 'pop' the glass out & swap images. If images are mounted you'll most likely need to remove the thin black backing board. Frames are light weight so just a small nail is all that's needed.

reinstall white frames for MCS

By

from Boston, MA  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I purchased hundred of these frames with frames both in black and white. I don't understand why the white was discontinued because some pictures look better in a white frame.

New Product LOOKS GREAT

By

My red matted pictures looked great in the frames. I broke the glassin one of them (very thin glass and must be pressed into frame).

All frames were cracked :-(

By

from San Antonio, Texas  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I bought 28 frames because I love these frames but unfortunately, the first two shipments of frames were all cracked in at least one corner so I had to cancel the last shipment before they arrived. Not one frame was salvageable. The customer service reps at Adormama were AWESOME and easy to work with on the return and I really appreciated that about the experience!

Questions about this item:

Gail G  Will the MCS Plastic Format Frame for a 16x20" Photograph, Color; Black fit if I mount my photos with the single weight mounting? Would it be too thick? Also, should I remove the glass because I am not matting my photo? Is it good to use glass against a photo?
JASON H  The fit is tight, I don't know if you would be able to get more than a single ply backing and single ply mat on the front in there. I wouldn't use the frame for permanent display if you don't mat it though, I have had prints ruined by sticking to the glass from moisture. I've also found the frames to be a little shy for my 16 x 20 prints and have to shave off 1/16" all around to get it in there without causing the print to buckle. Generally I have used them for putting together shows really quick when I want to hang prints on the wall and look nice, and then take them out of the frames when the show comes down.
Gail G  Thanks, Jason, for helping with my framing questions. May I ask one more? Have you ever hung prints without a frame if they have the thickest mounting? I wish I could afford printing my photos on metal. It would solve my problem with frames. I've got beautiful photos I took on my trip out west.
Shopper  Do you have an outlet in Berlin?
Andrew R  Unfortunately no. Though we can ship internationally.
