I love these portfolios. I use them for storing my collection of full sheets of stamps and they work perfectly to keep them safe and in an easy to use medium to look at them. These are great for the safe storage and display of any paper based artwork of valuables.
For the price - this is a really nice Portfolio for 11x14 photographs. Polyglass pages were clear and do not detract from the print. The front and back is made of a stiff plastic that supports the inside content nicely ( there is no attempt to make this look like leather - it is an inexpensive book and I was not surprised or disappointed in the look). A Tip: when I loaded the prints into the book - I wore thin white archival gloves to make sure I did not get fingerprints on the photos or the pages. There is a good amount of manipulation needed to get the photos into the sleeves.
For the price, it's OK! Very basic design. The cover is definitely durable but if not taken care of, over time will show scratches etc. I've bought several of these for various uses and there always seems to be a page or two that is marred in some way; either a defect in the plastic print sleeves themselves or markings that would suggest previous handling. So if you're picky, you may want to consider something of higher quality and pay more. Otherwise, like I said, for the price it's a good product....straightforward, no-nonsense, no frills, presentation book.
I am using the portfolio to showcase my freelance photography. Ideally, I prefer to show my work digitally (iPad, iPhone, etc), but I think it is also essential to have a hard copy portfolio. I chose this product because it came with 24 sleeves (meaning it could fit up to 48 photos). I also chose it because of the price. I saw other portfolios with leather covers going for a lot more, but found that this portfolio works just as well. Most clients will be looking at your work, so it is most important to have clean, sleek page sleeves.
