Questions & Answers

Julie R : Can you print on these tissue paper sheets or do you have a tissue product that can be printed on? Thanks, JulieCARL G : I just noticed that "Canard" should be "Canary" in my reply.CARL G : I use these sheets as interleaving sheets between ink jet photographic prints so I never write or print on them. However, I took a sheet and wrote on it to see how it would do. So if you mean by "print," writing on it with pencil, ball point pen, sharpie pen, and my fountain pen worked fine. Ink does bleed through but pencil did not. If you mean by "print," printing in a ink jet or laser printer, I did not try it but I don't think it would work very well. You would have to mount the tissue on a carrier sheet and I think ink jet would bleed badly and laser would probably crumple up. If you are looking for sketching tissue, take a look at architectural sketching tissue which usually comes in rolls. Search on Bienfang Canard Sketching Paper. I imagine this stuff comes in sheets but I don't know for sure. I doubt it is archival quality. I have an architect friend who uses this stuff every day with a fountain pen to sketch elevations and floor plans before going to AutoCAD. I hope this was helpful. Good Luck, Carl Golden

Perfect interleaving tissue for me

I am finally sorting through family photo albums. I have 3 that have lost or never had tissue between the leaves. These are old pulpy black paper albums from early 1900's. I had to trim the tissue to fit - used a rotary cutter and several sheets at a time. This went really well. And for me, after installation, the tissue looks like it really belongs. Easy to handle. It is exactly what I needed for the job.
