Was initially really pleased with this shredder. Waiting time for it to cool off between shredding is a little frustrating but overall I would say good value until today when it has just died on me and stopped working in mid shred. It won't start again. Very disappointed.

I bought it in 2017. used it two times worked good. Is 2018 now and it won't work at all like completely dead. A waste of money.

I had an old shredder that worked fine but had a narrow aperture, so I had to fold everything before shredding it. I decided to treat myself to a shiny new one and this model appealed to me because it would cut up to 7 sheets and accept staples. Great I thought. WRONG! I know you have to use shredders carefully and not overload them or run them for too long, so I was gentle with this machine but it just does not work. It shreds about half a sheet of A4 and then jams, though seems more keen to work in reverse and spit bits of rubbish out all over the floor when I try to clear the jam. I store it in the original box and only use it occasionally (yes, I have oiled it too) but it's hopeless. It takes half an hour of cursing and frustration to shred half a dozen sheets of A4. Don't waste your money.

My old Fellows went to the dark side, so I upgraded to then Powershred P70CM. As long as you oil after every empting of the bin, it will shred as good as the first day!! Great Product!

Love the product. Would like to register it but your registration sight doesn't allow for Province rather than State. Since you sell your product in Canada, wouldn't it be good to have that option there for us?

This is perfect for the price. It has operated efficiently, has been reliable, and very simple to operate. A great product.

I use a shredder only occasionally, and I haven't used this one much yet, but so far it works just fine. At least one review I read said it was noisy, but it's not. I was surprised to read in the instructions that I have to buy and use a special lubricant for the blades; wish I'd known to order that at the same time I ordered the shredder. This is the first time I've bought anything from Adorama, and the shredder arrived on my doorstep about 30 hours after I ordered it. I was totally impressed with their service.

i use this product to shred paper for crafts that I make. The size of the shredded paper is perfect for what I need it for. I couldn't have pick a better shredder. I love this shredder. I also love its overall look!!

I am definitely satisfied with this product. Put the paper in the slot, it shreds it. Simple as that. Messy to empty, but that's how it is with all shredders I've used. Definitely would recommend; great bang for your buck.

I purchased this as a replacement. I spent as much money for this one as I did for the original one and this one is half the size. I'm really disappointed in this tiny little thing. I hope it will hold up, but the price of shredders is rediculously high now and I find it useless. Guess I'll start burning everything and dump the shredder. I just got it and I don't know enough about it to rate it. I just know it's a disappointment compared to the one it is replacing.

Bought this item because of its price and as a backup. It's used primary as a garage unit to destroy junk mail and documents before they go into recyclables.

Although this shredder is reliable when it works, if you have any volume of shredding to do not buy this shredder. It overheats EASILY and takes forever to cool down. If I have a volume of paper to shred it can take an entire day of stopping because the machine has overheated - coming back to check if it has reset and cooled down - returning if it hasn't - then doing more shredding until it overheats again. And once it overheats the first time the time it takes to overheat again is less and less. In addition this unit is NOT quiet.

My old shredder finally died and, due to identity security issues, I needed a new one. I did the research on the 'net and reviews from others showed this Fellowes to be the best product in my price range. Those were 'spot-on' as this shredder works better than my old one. It is a bit noisier than the other, but the security of small, cross-cut shredding makes it the winner. You will agree if you choose this one.

This is the second time I purchased this unit. Had the other for 5 years and the only reason it went bad was because the bin did not get emptied. :( If the bin had been emptied I would still have the original. Mostly metal gears...however the one that broke was nylon.

I've had this unit for about a week. In general it performs well (I. E.: Shreds things as it should and as advertised by Fellowes). It has several short falls. If you try to shred continually for 10-15 minutes, you have to stop because the unit overheats and shuts down. Mine doesn't reset for about 15 minutes. There's only one sensor for something in the paper path. It is located at the center point of the slot. If you're shredding something say the width of a postcard, the machine may not start or shut off prematurely because it can't detect the item if it's off to the extreme of one side or the other of the slot. These concerns do NOT diminish the fact that this shredder does what it's advertised to do.

Just received my shredder today and opened it right away. Got a whole box of my year 2010 receipts and some out dated statements needed to get rid off. It worked better than I thought since I thought there was a time limit for not over 2 minutes, but mine didn't stop for over 5 or 10 minutes. since I had stop to sort out the paper in between in case some I still needed. Of course I only put 3 or 4 pages A4 print paper at once or 5 or 6 thinner receips together to avoid jam the machine. I finished all the shredding in one evening, which is amazing! Definetely recommend it for a personal or home office use, it's fast, small and easy to use, and it got pretty cool looking too!

I have bought my 3rd one of these shredders. I bought it for the looks, size, and cost and convinced myself that I had maybe misused the first two. Each one lasted a little over a year. The third one I never shredded over 3 sheets at 10x per day. I used the oil on it regularly. Sure enough, a little over a year it has stopped working. The motor will run in reverse. I have cleaned it out, etc., but it is dying.

If confetti cut was smaller in length, ie 7/8", it would be perfect. My old Fellowes Shredmate was perfect for confetti size but lacked power and capacity.

Ideal for personal use in the home or home office, the Fellowes Powershred P70CM delivers a high level of performance, yet still fits your budget. This affordable, medium duty shredder reduces documents to 5/32" x 1-7/8" confetti particles for extra security, and shreds up to 7 sheets per pass, 10-20 times per day, for a total daily capacity as high as 140 sheets.
Equipped with a 9" paper entry that easily accepts standard letter or legal size documents, the durable steel cutters also accept credit cards and staples. The auto start/stop feature ensures quick, easy shredder operation. The 4.5-gallon mesh wastebasket allows the user to see when basket is full. The Reverse function easily removes paper jams.
