I did alot of looking at various diffusers and read a number of reviews before finally selecting this Gary Fong product. The Lightsphere Inverted Dome works wonderfully, softly and evenly illuminating not only the subject, but the surroundings as well (thus getting rid of that harsh flash look on the subject with resulting black or dark background). The Lightsphere II Inverted Dome is easy to put on and take off of the flash head, and it's flexible enough to pack away in luggage, a backpack, or a camera hip bag. My only quibble with the Lightsphere is that it makes my flash top-heavy, and as such is not only a little weighty for me (and my small hands) when the flash is on the camera, but it also has a tendency to cause the top of the flash to fall over at times. Now, this might just have to do with my flash and not necessarily with any other brand model of flash. Nonetheless, the Lightsphere Inverted Dome came in very handy for a wedding I recently shot in Seattle, and I would not hesitate to recommend this product to others.

This really tames the harsh light of direct flash. If you don't have the means to get your flash off camera and diffused by some other method then this is the way to go.

I definitely like this lightsphere a LOT better than the attachable softbox I bought about 4 months ago. It spreads the light out nice and even without any open slits where light rays can seep into a shot. I love that it's easy to get on and off and doesn't require you to gunk up your flash with velcro. This is a very affordable product that will enhance anyone's on-camera flash work, I believe. The only drawback is finding room for it in a camera bag (whereas the softbox folded nice and flat). Even though it's flexible, it's not collapsible so be prepared for that. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend the lightsphere so far!

This is a great flash diffusion system. It works very well without giving harsh lighting effects in most indoor applications. I've used this system on a few fasion shoots with remarkable results. This is not really a con however, it's just a little bulky. I wouldn't be without one.
