Questions & Answers

Shopper : Hi, I just received this bag, it's my first of this kind and I love how it looks and I think it will work great, but... there are no instructions on how to switch it from a sling to backpack to neck! How do I do that?! I realized I have to play w/the insides to get my camera and accessories to fit, but it did say it would fit a camera with lens + 2 lenses and it doesn't look like it will. What am I missing?!MICHAEL E : Camera with lens, plus two additional lenses, does work with this case. The two additional lenses go at the extreme left and right, under the horizontal tabs of the two folding flaps that support the camera body. The camera-mounted lens fits in the center, between the vertical portions of the two folding flaps. I wouldn't call this bag a back pack: you can put the strap over your shoulder and position the bag either behind you or at your side. But it is still a very useful bag.KARRLAYN B : I don't know how to make it a backpack. I haven't tried that yet. However it does fit two lenses and a camera with a lens. I have it arranged so the two single lenses are on each side. I have the Camera Facing down with the lens in the middle. I Have the pads that fold on each side of the middle section, To support the camera which extends over both smaller lenses. This arrangement works great for me. LEAH B : When we got this bag, I don't think we realized it was called slinger/backpack/shoulder bag. We haven't done any changes to the strap other than the occasional lengthen/shorted as needed. I believe, when looking carefully at the name of the bag, it really means you can carry the strap on one shoulder (shoulder bag), you can put it over your head and carry it slid around to your back (single strap backpack), or you can put the strap over your head and carry the bag under one arm or in front of you (slinger bag). I think the name of the bag is to just make it sound more appealing and multifunctional--not that you can actually rearrange the strap to do different things. We do enjoy the bag as it holds everything we need and then some, which can be the downfall of the bag as we often fill it too full!!
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?PAUL N : Fantastic bag for the price. Carries lots of lenses and camera accessories with ease. I own 3 total.

It holds everything I need and More

This is a great camera bag, the adjustable Velcro padded dividers allow you to create a bag that fits your needs. I wanted a bag that I could leave my 15-85 or my 55-250 on my camera and a place for my flash. This bag holds my 50mm lens too and a lot more room for personal things. So it's a great travel bag. I love it. Another use is when you need a tripod and don't want to carry one you can turn this sling strap from your back and use the bag like a table to brace your elbows on to give added support when taking pictures handheld, therefore making its cumbersome size useful.

This is a great buy for a good product.

This product works as well as packs costing twice as much. I'm fully satisfied.

Good bargain

Good and very reasonably priced. Unobtrusive, but still obviously a camera bag so there are places where I would not take it, but at least it does not have an oem name on it.

It is a piece of excrement

I got the bag as a package deal when purchasing my 50D. The top started to tear within a month. The stitching is not strong enough. I had it resown, and it started tearing from somewhere else. It is to fragile for any use whatsoever.

Ready to go!

I am packing for my trip to Alaska. I bought this bag to carry the essentials. Going lighter. I have in the bag, D90, Nikkor 70-200mm 1:2.8G VRII, Nikkor 10-24mm DX, Nikkor 18-200mm, filters, spare SD cards, spare battery, battery charger and cord, Adorama cleaning kit. I really had not intended to take the 18-200mm, but I have room for it. Additional misc. gear in the bag. Room for more.

Great Everyday Camera Bag

I have several cameras AND several camera bags - different bags for different uses. This is my favorite bag for everyday use. It is home for my 5DII. Of course it can't carry all my gear - but I've got another bag for when I need lots of extras. This is a high quality bag, nicely finished with lots of compartments. They are small, but not too small - good for organizing necessities like extra batteries, memory cards, notebooks, pens - and it's got side compartment for cell phone! The waist strap tucks away nicely when not in use and it is just what I need need for daylong treks and for covering rough terrain.

Great travel bag for big cameras

I have carried this bag on many trips around the world and it has well served the purpose. I carried a D-80 with a 2.8 17-55 77mm lens with shield straight up in the middle. I put the speed light on one side and a 9" tripod on the other. Then in the pouches i put my photo chromatic lens and extra battery and lens cleaning pen. I cut the waist belt off first thing and it has been perfect especially in cold weather locations. The only negative i can say is that after all day use it pulls on one side of your neck and you get tired from this and cannot switch sides because of the shape of the strap. Which this might not be an issue if I had used the waist strap which I removed but to me it was aggrivating and in the way.

Not big enough for battery pack & camera

Good Bag but is not large enough for the Nikon D90 with a battery pack. Not enough space for the SB-800 flash. Good for cameras that are smaller and do not have extensions on them (Battery Packs, flash, multiple large lense)

great protection from the weather and being knocked around. Oh, and lots of room

Used on a 2 week trip to NY, NY. Little bulky and cumbersome but great protection from the weather and being knocked around. Oh, and lots of room.

Second Purchase of this Bag

This is the second Slinger that I purchased. The first for my own use and the second for my son as a Birhtday gift. He liked mine so it was an easy decision. It is compact but roomy enough to hold a camera body, three lenses and a flash along with filters, extra battery, pen and pad, lens hoods, a small flashlight, memory cards, small umbrella and, well you get the picture. It is also comfortable as a shoulder or neck bag. All this for a reasonable price!

This is the second time we bought this.

This bag is sturdy and useful. Its not too large and you can get a DSLR camera with a lens attached right into the bag. Its made in such a way that it really cant slip off our shoulder, and since it has a waist band in addition to the sloulder sling no one can slip it off your shoulder when you are traveling. With this bag you don't feel as though your carrying a duffle bag around.

Pretty good, but not perfect

I like it, but it isn't as convenient as I'd prefer. The waist strap is in the way when it's over my shoulder. Andd I'd like the compartments to be more useful.
