I always use this tool and it never failed me. Had it for 20 years, and when it breaks Gerber usually replaces or repairs it with a new pouch. I'v got a second one to use while the first is in for repair, which isn't often. They are great when I'm holding something with one hand and need a tool now. It can be opened and unfolded one handed for immediate use. The tool far surpasses all competitors tools. The only thing that needs improving is the Velcro on the pouch wears out. I usually install a snap closer on it.

I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that the Compact Sport 400 is the best Multi-tool I have ever used on and off the job. I've been carrying one for about 12 years now and I never leave home without it on my belt. Whoever designed the one handed mechanism for the pliers is a total genius and would like to shake their hands! If you are looking for a versatile, compact Multi-tool that will stand the test of time, look no further! Please Gerber, do not change this design! I really think this design blows away comparable brands like (leatherman) completely out of the water. The tool selection was well thought out. Best pair of small scissors I've ever seen! Thank You Gerber!

I love this tool! I've had four of them if that tells you anything (one Gerber covered under warranty which I appreciate). I got this model because a piece of equipment I used to frequently work on required a blade type screwdriver and a needle nose pliers - this tool covered both needs. I no longer work in the field much but have continued to carry this model daily. I have one wish though, I also carry their EAB pocket knife w/ replaceable razor blades, it's a great tool too. If they could merge these two tools together would make this even more ideal for me. Also, when flying you could simply remove the disposable blade and get it through security.

I got my compact sport pliers from a PX back in 2011. I have worn this tool on my side everyday since. It aided me in fixing little projects all through college and well beyond. I use it everyday, several times a day. The quality is top notch. The knife and scissors hold there edge very well ; I sharpen it once a year! The hinges are still tight and smooth. Even if it gets full of grit it will still open and operate with ease. I had a lock spring break or fall out a couple years back and was able to fix it with a click pen spring and it has worked as good as new since. Last week I mistakenly left it on my flat bed truck and it fell off on a busy road about 2 miles from my home. I thought it was gone forever. I found it today sitting in the middle of the lane covered in road salt and all scuffed up from auto and truck traffic running it over. I skid to a haught to pick it up and was blown away that it still operates as good as new and that there is no corrosion. I went home cleaned it and oiled it up and it functions flawlessly. This multi-tool is INDESTRUCTABLE!! If I am ever in the market for a new multi-tool I will always choose GERBER!

My first one was a gift back in 2007. Feels real good and has a good grip. I used the heck out of it even for jobs it wasn't meant for. I broke the blade trying to open a jammed door (oops my fault). broke the scissors (dropped from elevation). Cuts and strips electrical wiring like a charm and even fencing wire.(I still have it and keep it in my tool box). I eventually purchased another in 2014 which I just recently ruined when I cut a live 240 VAC wire by accident and melted the wire cutter portion of it (everything else still works and functions just can't cut wire anymore). This is a great multi tool. I will be getting me another one due to that I need the wire cutting part of it. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't use it. On the job, camping, minor repair and crafting. Thank you for making such a great product..

Effective for the price. The cross blade screwdriver could be a little more pointed, but for light to medium use, it's fine.

This is the best tool I've ever owned! Beats the crap out of Leather man. Love the flick open and that the pliers are a true pliers that opens when I want it to. Knife is good and it's not so bulky like the 600. Wish the scissors was a file.
