I've owned and used one of these for maybe 20+ years. The knife is rock solid. My wife misplaced mine, and I was lost without it. Yeah, I'm cheap 'cause I Resharper my "disposable" blades. Now if your going to be cutting boxes literally all day then a bigger rounded handle boxcutter would be a better choice, but for EDC this bad boy is my go-to knife!

I've tried a ton of products. I carry a utility knife every day as my workhorse knife. I've spent tons on fancy designs and other brands of small utility knives, and this one is the one that always ends up in my pocket. years later, it is my go-to for day to day edc. It would be nice if they would make a titanium variant to lighten it up. my only complaint is the weight. I also replaced the screw with a stud from etsy. this u]grade makes the EAB nearly perfect as it no longer requires a tool (or coin) to replace the blade and allows a little thumb leverage to manipulate.

I love this little knife and have a couple around. Have given a few to family as well. The blade is easily replaced when dull. Yes a screwdriver or coin is needed to replace the blade but if I'm somewhere where another blade is available I usually have a tool to replace it with. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add a bottle opener notch somewhere. I really only carry this so that would've come in handy on many occasions. May add myself.

This knife is the only knife I have carried at work for over 10 years. I lost my first one after carrying it for years and immediately ordered 2 more. The low profile is great for the pocket and the blade being a economical razor beats constantly having to sharpen a traditional blade. All of my friends have bought this knife after borrowing mine and falling in love with this little life saver.

This is the best knife I've ever carried. Very compact, strong blade lock, and so small you don't notice it in your jeans. You can use a credit card, key, or replacement blade to undo the screw to remove the old blade. I accidentally knocked off the belt/money clip and fixing it was easy as some pliers bending it back and it slid right back.

I own two of these, I wish two things... 1. Change the side the screw threads are in, its awkward replacing the blade 2. use a flathead screw for this, that way it won't cut fabric of cloths you are wearing.

Really really love this utility knife. As I'm mostly cutting open or down packages and cardboard this thing is absolutely perfect. Super small and discreet. While one hand opening and closing isn't the easiest, with a little practice it's a cinch. Haven't needed to change the blade yet, but supposedly a dime works perfect. Well done Gerber, only suggestion is make more colors so I don't mix mine up with my wife... plus you'll sell a billion of them, so it's a no brainer.

Getting into the packaging when I did not have another knife or sharp object was a nightmare. I do not understand putting an item in packaging that you would need said item in order to get into the packaging with any sort of ease.

I love the design, functionality, and finish of this knife. It is let down by the fit and assembly of the belt clip, which is crooked and not straight to the knife body. It is a minor detail, so if you don't care about aesthetics it won't be an issue for you. But if you don't care about aesthetics, why are you buying a Gerber knife? I purchased and returned two previous ones from a retailer with the issue. My third knife purchased from Gerber is no different. I've given up and will just keep this one.

I keep this knife clipped to my pocket all day. I never know its there until I need it and it so sturdy and sharp. Easy to change out blades. Absolutely love it!!!!

I really love this "knife" (its more of a blade holder) its really good though, its lightweight but not too light. its sturdy. ive had it for a long time now and its barely rusted. its has a great feel to it and overall it looks amazing

I own 2 of these now and LOVE the design. It is very slim for everyday carry. I usually clip it in the small pocket in my jeans. I read 2 main complaints that I disagree with: 1: screw to change blades and 2: two hands to open. First, I like that there is a screw to hold the blade firmly in place because my normal utility life with the quick blade change feature makes the blade a bit wobbly. I don't change my blades often and love how firmly the blade is held by the screw. Second, I am able to quickly open this knife with 1 hand and don't find this to be an issue with me. All-in-all, I love the design and function of this knife and highly recommend this knife to anyone looking for a good Every Day Carry knife.

I have this knife in black and its a perfect light weigh knife to carry on my reflective vest. My only gripe is also that the screw strips too easily and I can't find a replacement. It should be offered on this site or at least info on where to purchase it. Thanks!

Love the design! It's the smallest, thinnest , sleekest folding utility knife I've seen yet. My only gripe with the design is the screw that secures the blade. It would be nice to have a quick release button or something to easily replace blades without a screw driver. I've gotten around this issue by placing a very small, thin magnet that I can use to loosen the screw on the outside. If the screw is going to stay, maybe a magnet like this could be included with purchase.

Best pocket knife I have ever had. No sharpening. Just exchange razor blades when the one being used gets dull. When flying or going to sports games, all you have to do is take the blade out. you don't have to hand over your knife or run back to your car. It's great to keep on hand around the office and at home. I have had it for awhile and have not had a problem with the screw that keeps the blade in place like some others have. But if or when it does, I'm buying another. If only there could be someway to add on a bottle opener to this. Then it would be perfect!

Best knife ever! Pop in a new blade whenever you need - you won't have to give up your whole knife to TSA the few times they might catch it (just ditch the blade!). 95% of the time it goes through security without issue! Now if only I hadn't lost it, but next time I'm going with the Lite version for fun! The set screw does come loose (- 1 star for that! Just needs some thread lock)

This knife 90% of the time is the one I carry on me as a all purpose blade. It is so slip and compact that I often forget it is even on me. The ergonomics are surprisingly good for suck a small knife. I used it at work for cutting heavy materials all day and use it for every day package opening and other odds and ends. The clip came out of the knife once, but after being pushed back in it fits as it always has. The locking mechanism is very tough which for the price is great. There is absolutely 0 blade movement when locked in the open/close direction and very minimal in the opposite. I have not been gentle with my knife and it holds up every time. My one and only real complaint is the blade changing system... I often just use my pen sized diamond file to resharpen it because it's less off a hassle then a blade change. If it could be done like most others with a button/slider to swap blades out it would be a 5 out of 5 knife. Figure out a way to keep it roughly the same size but have storage for maybe 2 extra blades this would be my 100% of the time go to knife and would be 7 out of 5. Either way, I definitely recommend for anyone who carries a pocket knife to try this. For the price you can't go wrong.

I had 2 of these knives over the past 10 years. The small size fits perfectly in the little front pocket on jeans and replaceable blades made this my every-day-carry knife. Just lost my last one, will be buying another soon.

I bought one of these for a friend around 2008/2009 and one day he left it at my house and decided he didn't want it anymore so I started carrying it. That was my EDC and favorite knife until the pocket clip finally snapped this past summer. I ordered a new one but so far I'm slightly disappointed. It doesn't work as smoothly as my old one. Everything is solid, but if it doesn't break in and get smooth I'll move the new pocket clip to the old knife. Still a great product, just hope the quality hasn't slid since I bought the first.

I've had this knife when it first came out and got recalled they did an excellent job of fixing the knife on the recall I own three of them and the clip broke off one and they were happy to send me a replacement now I have a Another where they clip broke off and the blade holder is loose from the years and years of brutal use i've put the knife through and they are also going to replace it Gerber has an excellent warrantee I would recommend this knife to anyone I own 17 Gerber now and this is my all time favorite that I've ever owned good enough for the toughest jobs out there or just to EDC am more than pleased customer keep it up Gerber and I'll keep buying. I want the Gerber Epic so bad but with my newborn every penny counts that is the number 18 on my Gerber list 3.45" of ALSOME!!!! The machete I bought great I'll quit my rambling of my obsession of the Gerber sorry great knives
