Gerber Replacement Carbide Cutter Inserts

After reading these reviews and my own shattering experience these insert cutters have failed to function has wire cutters (Quality Control dropped the ball on this one). Bought in Dec 2018, cutters broke same month. Purchased for the plier jaws rather than the leatherman needle nose. Now carry both tools ( the leatherman for the cutters). Gerber let us know when you fix the problem. Judging from the other reviews going back to 2016 I am guessing you do not want to acknowledge that there is a problem.

Garbage. Can't cut cable. Had to go back to my small Leatherman wave with the crappy screw driver. I love my Gerber center drive. But I can't carry a center drive AND another tool with a cutter. So into the junk drawer she goes. Maybe I can find some after market cutters that will fit

This model has been on my side for about five years, use it daily for something. Works perfect every time, never fails. Have sharpened the main blade occasionally. It is literally my third hand.

They worked, right up until they broke. When reading the other reviews, do keep in mind they're only speced to cut 26 gauge wire. That's a diameter of 0.4mm. These guys were working, but I was trying to cut through an old wire fence. At 2mm and four cuts later, they couldn't handle it anymore and just gave way. I'd get the replacement parts if they weren't so expensive.

I had my cutter inserts shatter after very little use ,that's why I'm ordering new ones. I do believe these should be made from tool steel.I really like this tool and use it every day,but the cutter is the only problem I have
