I use this gear to create custom paper profiles for my Epson 2880 inkjet printer and to calibrate my RGB monitors. It does a phenomenal job! When I compare the ICC profiles to the basic canned ones and those provided by the paper manufacturers, I can see a definite gain in color gamut in the custom ones this equipment & software produce. It allows for a lot of versatility in measuring for ambient light during monitor calibration & during paper profiling for a variety of light viewing conditions you may find your prints being displayed under. Printing & reading the test charts was easy with the Pro 2. If I made an error with a row of patches, the software indicated which row it was and allowed me to simply rescan that row and continue seamlessly. It reads very quickly. X-Rite gear has been an integral part of my color workflow for years and will continue to be so. This is a nice setup for any serious or professional photographer who wants to take quality control of his/her own photo printing. My only gripe is that the beautifully sculpted case the gear comes in can't stand on its edge. It needs to be laid flat on its back.
