Description
Replacing the 545/645, the 555/655 are ready to go to work for you. These timers are excellent performers for timing kinetic experiments, start and stop times for gas chromatography, safety shutoff on critical equipment, centrifuges, x-ray equipment and quality control analysis. The 555/655 have an instantly repeatable time cycle, and these digital circuits react little to power line interference and none to frequency variations. The 555/655 series features:

Features
5-Digit LED Display
These 1/2 in. LEDs show time settings as you program your timer and indicate timing when the timer is operating. You can set the time to count up or count down by using the COUNT UP/DOWN button. The intensity of the display is controlled by the DISPLAY button on your touch pad.
Time Set Buttons
The top row of buttons labeled "minutes" and "seconds" allows you to set the timing sequence. The timing range is 59 minutes; 59.9 seconds to .1 seconds. By holding down the buttons, you can scroll through the settings.
Oulet Control Buttons
The center row of buttons labeled with an A or B allows you to control the outlets. The ON/OFF buttons simply turn the outlets on or off. It allows you to connect your equipment with no power at the outlets. The TIME/TIME buttons put the outlets under control of the timer. The round LEDs indicate outlet status as on or off
Tone Control Button
This button controls the tone the timer makes as it counts through the timing sequence. There are four modes by pressing the button:
Tone every one second and at end of cycle
Tone every one second and no tone at end of cycle
Tone every 30 seconds & tone every second last 10 seconds, no tone at end
No Tone
Clear/Reset
Erases or clears time settings. Push once to reset time in memory. Push twice to clear time in memory to zero.
Start/Hold
Initiates timing cycle. Push once to freeze time during cycle. Push second time to restart cycle.
Count Up/Down
Elapsed time will ascend or descend on the display.
Option Buttons
Hold down the three center buttons on the bottom row steps you through the options.
The MODE button selects the timer to operate in one of four modes.
They are SINGLE, INTERVALOMETER, DUAL MODE and DUAL.
The AUTO START button allows you to select the timer to run one cycle or continuously repeat the cycle. The M1/M2 button allows you to select one of two memories for programming control of the outlets.
