We had two Boulder 90's pumping more power into our Yeti 1250 than I get off an outlet at home. We ran a computer, a movie screen, and sound system for more than 100 people for a week. It cranked!

Goal Zero Boulder 90 is a powerful monocrystalline solar panel which will get you by its performance and, mainly, its durability. With this panel on the roof of our expedition Toyota, we travelled through a substantial part of Europe and we undertook a demanding expedition to Iceland. Even in the worst weather when it was raining and it was almost dark, the panel kept delivering 8 - 12 W of power. During sunny days, we were able to draw over 50 W from Boulder 90. One panel was therefore enough to support Yeti 400 which was constantly used by the whole crew for recharging their phones, iPads and cameras. The panel has never failed to keep charging the Yeti, even during longer periods of bad weather. In case the power of a single panel is not sufficient for you, it is possible to link multiple panels together and obtain higher output. The monocrystalline layer is protected by a hardened glass sheet and the whole panel is set into a lightweight, yet durable, aluminium frame. The durability of the panel was thoroughly tested in a recent acrobatics performance when the Toyota ended up in a ditch after several flips over the roof. The panel was attached to the roof and - contrary to the roof itself and the mounting rack - survived the crash. This test has persuaded me completely. There is no need to worry about the panel even on an off-road car. It can surely take some beating. The only thing I miss regarding Boulder 90 is a mounting kit for attaching there panel wherever you need it. Our panel is attached to the roof rack of a car and we had to drill holes into the aluminium frame in order to make it work. The panel can be connected to Goal Zero Yeti 400 or Yeti 1250 battery packs. Using the Guardian 12 module, it can recharge, for example, car batteries. I have had the Boulder 90 on our expedition Toyota for almost a year and I can truly recommend it for all situations where you want or have to use solar power. PROS: + very durable + high output even in adverse conditions + possibility to link up to 4 panels (with separately purchased cables) + relatively low profile CONS: - no mounting kit available Manufacturer's specs: Weight:?9.1 kg Size:?95x68x3.5 cm Output:?90 W

Purchased the Boulder 90 to go along with a Yeti 150 and 2 Lite-a-Life lights for my annual camping outing in the Ozarks. I set up a pop up camper and we spent 7 days in a primitive area along a trout stream. I was looking for a way to save on propane and other hydrocarbon fuel sources. The first 5 days we had rain, rain and more rain with no direct sunlight. The Yeti 150 powered the 2 Lite-a-Life lights for 4 full nights and finally ran out of juice on the 5th night. By this time, most of the other electronic devices were either dead or very low on battery life. On day 6, the sun finally came out and I was able to charge the Yeti 150 to 100%, my I-Phone, I-Pad and a Bose Bluetooth speaker all within about 4-5 hours using the Boulder 90. It performed flawlessly. I love the one plug connection to the Yeti 150 and the ease of operation. No tech experience necessary. Just plug it in and walk away. One of my fellow campers uses a 45 watt panel that is almost twice the size of the Boulder 90 to charge the batteries in his camper. The Boulder 90 put his equipment to shame. I am extremely pleased with the results and look forward to many more trips with a much smaller carbon footprint. Great product.
