When I first purchased the Sherpa 50, I knew that I would be using it to power my on the go life as a Flex Security Officer. The Sherpa has answered that call. With this, I am now able to power EVERYTHING in my work bag so no matter where I am, I will always have power for my laptop and everything else. Love the products.

I do a lot of "in-the-field" nature/travel photography and use the new Apple Macbook which has the universal USB-C port for power/data transfer/etc. I have a venture 30, sherpa 50, and am awaiting the arrival of my yeti 150. The tips work for my camera battery charger, but I'm using a USB-A to USB-C cable to charge my laptop from the usb port on venture and sherpa. It works, but slowly. I then bought a 12V car adaptor with a 5W 3amp USB-C port to use in the sherpa's 12V port (with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Again, it works, but not much faster than the USB-A ports. It would be fantastic if Goal Zero would come out with a 6mm to USB-C cable for charging the new Macbook (and the many other USB-C devices starting to hit the shelves) directly from the 6mm laptop port, or possibly make a USB-C head to go along with this laptop adaptor kit. I never bought the plug adaptor for the sherpa simply because I would hate to have to bring along a super long and bulky power cord to plug in when a 1ft cable could do the trick to power my laptop. Nothing is available online yet in this power cord configuration. I'll be waiting...

I LOVE the Sherpa. But this laptop kit isn't working to charge my Dell Laptop. It only says.. "Plugged in, not Charging". Not sure what's going on here.

In a pinch, I recently used my Sherpa 50 to charge my Dell E6430 with the Laptop Charging Kit. The Dell computers are very particular about their power supply. As the laptop is looking for a 90W supply, which the 50 obviously doesn't produce, the laptop doesn't show as being charged. I believe the laptop is charging nonetheless. The cable has the customary Goal Zero quality, which is quite high. Form fit and function is excellent. It comes with tips for many popular laptop manufacturers.

good product, but with new laptops on the market my newer Sony laptop has a smaller connection and the kit doesn't have an smaller adapter to fit

Used this with my dell/Alienware 14" - other battery packs cant charge/maintain this computer due to its power draw. The required resistors are incorporated into this design simple and effective. The shipping cost almost as much as the cord itself - but if you can get it for less - do it. Keep that laptop running off the sun with improved power efficiency (you loose 25% by going through the inverter)

I cannot believe that GoalZero is charging $13.49 to ship this item. It's a cable and 4 tips...and the shipping for this is nearly the price of the item. You can drop this is in a two-day priority mail package for nearly one third that charge. Shameful...
