I have owned another one for two years. When it was time to purchase a second one for an additional large LED panel I didn't hesitate buying the same model. Very portable and stable for field use. Air cushioning prevents the light from crashing down when being lowered.

The first stand I received didn't have the air cushioned on one of the levels, no problem, it was exchanged. However, the replacement broke this past weekend during a wedding after only being used for 2 months in about 6 weddings. It literally fell apart at one of the levels. I really wanted to love this lightstands, they look great and quite inexpensive, but I've been disappointed so far.

I use these stands to hold up my background since the original stands with my background kit were junk. These so far have been excellent. Will hold any of my backgrounds and are tall enough for any situation I have encountered.

I was suprised how nice this light stand was when I opened the box. Because of the low price I was expecting a lower quality.

I put a 40+in Octobox on it and and it holds it perfectly. Very sturdy and built with great quality. The air cushion is an added security feature as well. It doesn't come with a carry case which is a bummer

Excellent, 10.5 foot Heavy-Duty Air Cushioned Black stand ! Air cushioned stands are generally made better than "spring loaded" stands. This also will improve the performance of your Speedlight/Flashes ! Using an external Flash on your Camera is OK for starting out, BUT to take the next step in Flash Photography, you need to get the best stand for your limit of money, and get the Flash off the camera & away on to a very good stand. And to me this is the best bang for the buck. PLUS ! When you buy an expensive external flash for your Dslr you also want a stand that has a WIDE-BASE footprint, so it will be more stable. This stand is great for school plays, holding a hand held video camera.

When I was looking for my 1st light stand a long time ago, I tried to find the "Biggest-Bang-For-the-Buck" and this one is it! Not Too bulky & Not Too Whimpy. The picture shows a "Chrome" stand? It's not. It's Black. Most "Beginner" or "Kit" stands are 6ft. to 9ft. Tall & NOT Air-Cushioned" and with a small foot-print. Most "Pro" stands are 12ft. to 15ft. tall & Big, Bulky, Heavy-Duty & Air-Cushioned with a little larger diameter FootPrint. For the price you can't go wrong with this stand. It is H-D, A-C, 10.5 feet tall with one of the Largest Diameter Very Wide Spread Base FootPrint of any light stand on the market. This stand has never fallen over Indoors. Outdoors, you will need some weight bags so it won't fall over just like any other light stand can. I've done Portraits Indoors and Outdoors with this stand for a while now and it has NEVER let me down, ever. Very good Company making very good products. It will also hold up Reflectors, Boom-Arms and Back-Grounds with no problems at all. The legs are thick enough to use a Generic set of Indoor Caster-Rollers for your studio if you want.

I was replacing my old stand (same stand and model). I'm happy to report that in the 15 years since I last purchased one, the quality has only improved. Much easier to adjust. Smooth transitions and firm, easy locking. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I bought this for using in-studio to put a hairlight on, but also to take outdoors and use with flash and umbrella after adding a swivel adapter.

I use these stands as tall microphone stands. The reversible 1/4 to 3/8 inch stud is therefore a welcome feature.

Bought two of these for a home studio usage. They work great, the air cushioning is nice but really not required. Wide base for good support, though I haven't tried it outdoors. I use these and two 40" umbrellas with SB600 and SB800 flashes.
