Excellent fast portable drive.
I've always been a fan of G-drives, and this 1 TB 7200 RPM Mini drive performs as expected. Very reliable fast drive either using Firewire 800 on my older Macbook Pro or the USB 3 on my new Macbook Pro. Includes both cables. Very quiet. A must for your compact camera bag!
great for video productions
It is a great unit if you want to both store footage and also with 7200 rpm it can be used for editing. Ideal for traveling with a lap top, and editing on the road!
The G-Technology G-DRIVE mini 1TB High-Speed Drive comes equipped with two FireWire 800 ports and one USB 3.0 ports for versatile connectivity. You can also take advantage of the included FireWire 400 cable to connect your drive right out of the box. This SATA drive runs at 7200 RPMs with a 16MB cache. The integrated heat sink provides sufficient cooling ensuring the drive doesn't overheat. Connect the G-DRIVE mini to either a Mac or Windows computer for enhanced compatibility.
