This is my first "real" monopod, well at least from a store that didn't end in "mart". This seems to be able to hold whatever i can throw at it. The first thing i did was to pull out each extension one at a time and lean my full weight on it. I weigh about 250 so i was easily putting about 50 pounds on each extension and it held without slipping. I regularly use this with a Nikon D750 and a 70-200 and there is no flex or movement at all. The monopod can get very tall, all the way out its too tall for me at 5' 9". To me its a 1000 times better than the one i had before and i would recommend it to anyone.

Purchased this monopod after extensive research. Also bought the Giottos ball head a short time after. The monopod is sturdy and I like the height. I have used it to take food photographs looking down & it does the trick. I also like the fact that it folds down to a compact size, which is great for travel or hiking. I recommend this monopod

Great monopod. Being 6'3" it is a real back saver. Very well built, stable and warranty support is terrific. One of the screw heads was stripped. I took a picture of the screw head and sent it to Giottos. They responded promptly and sent new clamp with screw out immediately. From start to finish it was approx. 4 days. The pistol grip is also very nice for quick angle changes and well built. As far as Adorama....always get my orders out promptly and customer service very knowledgeable.

Solid support for my long telephoto that can get heavy waiting for the right wildlife image. Packs smaller than a tripod, faster than a tripod, and serves as walking stick when there's no camera mounted. VERY glad to have added this to my equipment list.

This monopod is built well and does exactly what it should. The length is good for shooting up at BIF ...etc as well. Very sturdy with Acratech ballhead, 7DmII, and 70-200 lens (as well as downward pressure from hand over top of lens).

Perfect for supporting a long lens. Adds extra stability for my non VR glass. Using with a new 3pod ball head. Great combo for my needs.

Love the stability and workmanship of this product. It could be a little lighter, but didn't want to want to spend the extra money on a carbon. I can live with the few extra ounces. I bought it vey tall for my height, but was not sure when or if I would be needing the extra for, so why not go tall? After all, you don't want to regret it later on, since the plan should be to only purchase once! Adorama service was as spectacular as usual and so where the prices, just can't go wrong with the product or Adorama. You won't regret it ,I would recommend it to a friend

I bought this for hiking and camping trips where my tripod was too much to carry and while I didn't want anything too heavy, I was also looking for sturdy just in case I might stumble and tried to catch myself on my monopod. I wouldn't use this as a primary hiking tool but it has served me well through parks, zoos, beaches and wilderness areas.

I have no idea why you'd pay more for graphite, it's very light weight. Love the flip leg locks, the height which lets me shoot overhead and being able to mount the same ball head as my tripod. Whats not to like?

I use this monopod with binoculars when looking at the night sky. I have a joy-stick type grip mounted on the top of the monopod and the traditional "L" bracket on top of the grip. The binoculars which range from an 8 x 40mm to a 20 x 60mm attach to the bracket. This configuration makes pointing the binoculars easy and significantly reduces image shake and arm strain. I like this monopod because it opens very quickly and stays at the height set with any of my binoculars. The ability to ajust the height of the monopod is important for this application. The lever locks work great. Changes to the extended height are quick and easy even while wearing gloves. The lever locks work even in 20 degree temps - personally confirmed. I had previously used a momopod that had twist type fasteners. I soon learned that levers are better for me since they allow faster one handed opperation. I do not have any negative comments about the Giottos MML3290B product quality. Relative to other monopods I have purchased I think this product is a very good value. [...] I do not have a relationship with or interest in Adorama or Giottos other than as a consumer.

I use this monopod hiking, visiting attractions, road trips and other times when a tripod is just too much weight and bulk or not permitted. Would like to have a wider foot, but, over all very well constructed and reasonably priced.
