Sue G : What head is included with this tripod ? I cannot really see what it looks like. Is it a ball head? Is this a good tripod for my D5100 and a long telephoto?ANDREW R : Unfortunately this listing is for the tripod "legs" only and does not include a head.

Solid as a Rock!

This is a MONSTER tripod! It is so solid you can practically sit on it and take photos! It is easy to operate, pull the lever and the legs open; pull the lever and the legs extend. The center column that articulates for low insect/flower shots is great. I love to move in low on flowers, and now have the stability I need for great shots. I added a ball head, and quick release, so the whole outfit weighs in at about 6.5 pounds. If you are not real strong, maybe go for a lighter tripod--but you can not beat this one for stability. It is very well made, great finish, I like the foam on the upper legs (been using it outdoors this winter), and knobs are large enough to grasp with gloves. First major tripod I have ever had, and did a lot of research, and really enjoy this one!

Great tripod

This tripod does every thing I need where it is a great tripod. Love the height that it can open up to and the center column that can be positioned horizontally for macro work.

I really enjoy using me Giottos

I really like my MTL 9371B. For me the price was right verses performance where it has turned out to be a quality piece of my photography equipment.

The Giottos MTL 9371B 3-Section Compact Aluminum Tripod features flip lever leg lock, just lift lever to unlock, push lever to lock. It lets you extend or shorten a leg without taking your eyes off your subject. It also features quick release for 3 leg spread angles which allows setting each leg at different positions individually. The multi-function center column allows for 180 degree vertical movement and 360 degree horizontal rotation as a lateral arm.
