About Giottos 305B

The U.pod series was developed after a great deal of consultation with end users and professionals in the industry. Constructed of an aluminum alloy, protected by a wear proof black lacquer.

The legs fold into the central column to use the U.pod as a mini monopod. Unfolded, the legs become a platform turning the U.pod into a stable mini tripod. Complete with wrist strap for convenient carrying.

This Giottos QU 305B convertible tripod can be used either as a table-top tripod, or as a mini or handheld monopod. The short extension column can be removed from the tripod legs, which allows for a minimum working height of only 2.2". With the extension column connected, a height of 13.8" is achieved, with a respectable load capacity of 11 lbs.

Small but very stable. Quality materials, Easy to switch heads and set up. Included Ball Head does not match quality of tripod.

A true mini pod

from Rancho Cascades, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

Does hold both of my DSLRs but sure looks flimsy. Haven't taken it out yet so maybe it will prove me wrong.

Questions about this item:

Debbie F  Will this grip on uneven surfaces? Would like to take hiking
MARK B  The tripod is very light and compact, making it good for hiking, particularly for use with a small ball head and a light camera. The tripod has very small rubber 'dots' on the bottom of each foot. They keep the tripod from scratching a tabletop, and add enough friction to be slightly useful on some smooth surfaces. It would be reasonably stable on a slight incline, such as a building entrance ramp, but not on anything very steep. Since the length & angle of the legs are not adjustable, I wouldn't recommend this on really uneven surfaces.
