Shopper : Are both of the shown optional batteries used in the camera? The shapes are so different.Fred N : What you are looking at is the cardboard packaging the battery comes in this photo. The batteries are the same shape and size physically. Your OEM Panasonic battery is more powerful (higher density - 1250 m-ah vs the Green Extreme which is around 1,050 but the Greenie is a lot cheaperBILL W : I think you are confusing the packaging with the actual battery. The battery inside is the same size and works fine.RONALD L : I don't personally remember. From general my experience with Green Extreme batteries they are decent batteries for the money, but they don't last as long as the factory OEM batteries regardless of the amp-hr rating. I would call the Adorama on their 800 number and ask them

Green Extreme BCM-13 battery extra

Good product - much cheaper than OEM but also slightly less powerful (which is reason for 4 stars). OEM is 1250 while this one is 1050 m-ah. So buy two and still be ahead of the game over an extra OEM.
