Great support for monopod

Gitzo's original rubber foot on my monopod wears quickly when used in sports photography and panning a lot on hard surface. Not any more with this big foot. The rubber foot stays in place and ball joint takes care all the panning. It also provides slightly better stability due to a large contact surface instead of a single contact point from regular monopod foot. The cutout on the foot of my copy is not centered. I don't use the foot on tripod for low angle shot so it doesn't affect me but just disappointed that this passed Gitzo's QA.

Why they make and sell Loctite!

Earlier review complained on possible loss.. Yes possible if you don't use Loctite to firm the connection. I've used mine shooting a child's party makes immediate level changes as well as rotational possible. Size eliminates sinking in sand or other very loose surfaces. Found excellent for all with possible exception of portrait shoots. a Tripod is only better tool in that case or time lapse but those require sturdiest support in my experience

Works well but is easy to dislodge.

The product is easy to use and provides extra stability to a monopod and hence sharper shots. However it can easily become detached if bumped against a solid object e.g. tree. Can can envisage this getting lost very quickly.

For Series 4 and 5 aluminum monopods. All terrain vibration absorber foot for mud, snow or sandy surfaces.
