Gitzo GC2160F S2 Safari Leg Warmer Set, Camouflage

From the description, it fits to Gitzo Series 1-2 tripod. However, it does not fit to my Safari series 2 tripod at all, unless I remove the insert insulation material. Without the insultion material, why do I still need this leg warmer ? It was returned.

These went right back into the packaging after realizing that they did not fit my GT2541 (the circumference was too small). If I really worked at it I could get a small amount of overlap with the velcro fastener, but even then it's just barely hanging on. Also, some of the velcro was then left exposed to scratch up the legs that I was trying to protect. I guess I should have been skeptical of them trying to cover two different size legs (1 and 2 series) with one product, but it's still a pretty ridiculous failure on Gitzo's part, especially with their reputation for quality. While the product was useless to me, it would probably work fine on the smaller 1-series and the materials were nice.
