Gitzo carbon fiber monopod

This monopod is lightweight but can be used with a 400 2.8 lens for stability. It is great for taller people (I'm 6' 2" tall) and is simply a workhorse. I've used many monopods and this one is simply the best on the market. Very pleased with my purchase.

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
STEPHEN G  Good quality, light weight for travel. Great monopod.
Cathy S  will the Giottos MH-1001 Pro Medium Ball Head with Independent Panning Lock and Built-in MH652 Quick Release fit this monopod?
RONNIE B  Hi Cathy, I am currently using the Giottos MH-3300-658 on my Gitzo GM3551 Monopod. I used to own the Giottos MH-1001 and I am quite sure it will work also. Sincerely, Ron
Dean S  What is the tip made of and can it be replaced? Will I need a quick release head adaptor for my Nikon D600?
ALAN B  It's rubber and replaceable. You'll need a monopod head. I use a Really Right Stuff Quick release and plate for a Nikon D600
