It is great for being just a trigger and works from at least 300 feet. I like the shoe mount to keep it stable... It might be better if the cord attachment to the camera came out with a 90 degree bend rather than the cord wire coming straight out. If you ever want to consider time lapse or star trails consider upgrading to the programable trigger. For the few extra dollars I should have done it.

the HAHNEL COMBI TF, is exactly the product I was looking for. I would ask if a Y or split cable could be developed that would allow a battery pack and the COMBI to be used at the same time. I have a NIKON DSLR 3100 with a battey pack, and the cable occupies the port needed for the COMBI cable.I can not remove the battery pack as the camers door has been removed to accomodate the pack, so I can only use the COMBI with the 3200. Perhaps something can be manufactured to facilitate this dilemma Thank you for your interest Dave

I photograph equine events, mostly "barrel racing" and this product I can use to trigger multable flash units, and I also use one to trigger the shutter. It has great range and I don't have to be in line with the receiver.

Can provide a nice off camera flash, the only drawback is that the construction is not very durable. But it's priced well so I'd recommend if you're on a budget.

I'm using this as a remote trigger for off camera flash. It has worked fine for the short time I've had it. Seems to be a well made product, not the cheap ones sold on a well known auction website and for less than a third of what you'd pay for a pair of pocket wizards. Would have given 5 stars but have not had it long enough.
