The eye piece I was searching for at the airshow "Airventure" in Oshkosh, WI last week was not to be found but, Lou was. I had Lou look at my camera (a Nikon 3200) and he said it would take a "HoodEYE" H-EYEN22S eye piece. Lou gave me the info and I ordered the model number the next week after returning from Oshkosh. Ordering was straight forward however, your website says that you take American Express but, when you try to order using AE the site will not take it....?? Upon receiving the eye piece it was very good quality however, it does not fit well as the square shape of the mounting attachment fits but, will not lock into position. It seems the locking release tabs are in the way and due to the shape of the camera just below the viewing port it keeps the eye cup mounting attachment from "snapping" into place and locking the attaching bracket down. If you have a solution for this mismatch please forward the solution to me at this address or simply call.443-695-5433

This is exactly what the doctor ordered. Once snugly attached, the hoodeye conforms well to seal out any external light. It helps my eye pinpoint the area of focus. On the occasion I need to swap eyes, it swivels for that scenario as well. Impressed! I wish I had found hoodman years ago!

This is my 3rd eyepiece. My only complaint is they are difficult to put on and remove.

Does what I ask of it, which is not to fall off the camera, as the Nikon version did. How do the people who produced the D750 fail to design an adequate eyecup?

Comfortable & much better than the cup that came with the Nikon D90

Easy to install, this eyepiece is so much better than the one that comes with your camera, there really is no reason not to get it. Once you bring it to your eye (either one, as it rotates), all ambient light to the viewfinder is blocked, and you can compose much more clearly. Because it blocks extraneous light, all the info you viewfinder offers is also much easier to read. A must for those of us who prefer the viewfinder to live view.

Attaches to camera easily. I am left eye dominant so being able to turn the cup around was a big selling point for me. Am very happy with it.

Five stars each for the seller and product. It really helps blocking light when trying to look through the viewfinder with my glasses on. It fits tight and is well made.

Fits snuggly and snaps in very securely. However, the tight fit does not allow for easy removal (use care when lifting the locking tabs). The rubber cup rotates on the ring to accommodate any viewing angle. Although the size of the cup is large and comfortable, it does block a portion of the display screen along the center top edge

I wanted this for my Nikon D610 and spoke to a representative from Adorama and they said this one would work. Well when I got it out of the package and tried really hard to get it on, no way would it fit. Really was scared that I was going to drop the camera. So for the heck of it I tried it on my D7000 and it snapped on right away and that was good. Only problem now is I can't get it off. So I have deceided that when I need to shoot an outdoor event I will be using the D7000 and only use the D610 indoors or on cloudy days. Ok now I have to say that it does help to shield some of the light but with wearing glasses some light still comes in and it's hard to see the settings in the eyepiece for adjustments. So than I move just a little and it works way better than with out it in bright sun. Now this thing also fits very snuggly and there is a very slim chance of it coming off. So in all it does help.

I have given myself bruises on the forehead trying to catch something suddenly and slamming the camera to my eye. The Hoodeye has saved me from that dilemma many times. I wish they would also make one that is just round, and not oblong, as switching orientation can sometimes be awkward (when trying to do it quickly). I know Nikon makes a round one, but the Hoodman version is a bit stiffer and feels snug against my eye when quickly raising the camera to shoot.

Very comfortable, fits on camera well, keeps stray light from interfering with picture from the viewfinder. Only negative is that the lower part covers some of the LCD display. A pair of scissors may fix that.

Needed an eyepiece that would block side light. It's good quality and about half of what a Nikon rig would cost.

I like the feel of the HoodEYE, but it does not block out the sun the way that it is advertised.

The HoodEye helps eliminate unwanted light from the viewfinder. The HoodEye helps keep your nose and cheek from rubbing up against the display. The HoodEye helps center your eye in the viewfinder.

Hoodman comes to Nikon's Rescue. The HoodEYE should have been offered OEM from Nikon! Bad Nikon! From day 1 when I bought the Nikon 300 I needed a real functioning eyecup. Light was always getting into my eyepiece and disturbed my framing and concentration. I have been patiently on Adorama's wait list for over 2 months waiting for this near PERFECT eye piece. I have captured many outdoor pictures and this was always hard with the sun coming into the flat OEM eyepiece. I walked outside today t...
