Excellent for Video shooting.
Great for shooting HD video. eliminates ambient light when viewing the LCD screen. Hood takes a minute or two to attach.

I wanted the Hoodman alone but could not find it listed alone, so I purchased the set and discarded the straps and eyepiece. I read other reviews dissing the straps. they are flimsy but I do not intend to use them. I am just annoyed that I had to pay extra to have them included.

Please Replace Rubber bands!!!!
[...]I needed it to view a shoot in bright daylight. 10 minutes into opening it - I COULD NOT USE IT because the rubber bands were so weak and flimsy that they both broke while I was trying to wrap them around the camera. My daytime shoot was ruined... I was out $120-ish dollars and I will definatly contact the company in the AM and try to resolve this. However, MY shoot was unsecessful and I may have lost major money because the job was for Warner Brothers Europe... Hoodman - you may have screwed me BIG TIME! please make good and fix this issue!!!

Great LCD Viewer
The rubber that hold the hood loupe to the camera a flimsy and are easily broken and should be replaced with more durable or more elastic and substantial rubber to hold the loupe on to the camera.
