I bought two of these prior to my three-week European vacation. Luckily I already had a few SanDisks. Couldn't get either one of the RAW to work. Had to buy more SanDisks in Bulgaria which was not inexpensive.

Time will tell as far as reliability. However, initially this unit is very fast. In high-speed continuous mode on my Canon 50D this card really shows its ability over my other non-udma 2GB card. This card allows the camera to live up to it's 16 consecutive RAW images at the specified 6.3 fps rate. Downloading the RAW images through a UDMA enabled compact flash reader is just as fast.

I have CF cards dating back to the Sandisk Ultra II's. A number of them include the first crop of UDMA 300x cards (all different brands, including Hoodman). Frankly, most of those UDMA cards barely wrote data faster in my Canon 1Ds Mark III than the older Sandisk Ultras. However, the first job I shot with the Hoodman RAW 675X card was noticeably faster. The card/camera wrote practically as fast as I could fire off a burst. I never ran into buffer overrun. In the scheme of things, it's one of the more affordable 600+ speed cards at close to $20/GIG.
