Hoya 52mm Circular Polarizer Multi Coated Glass Filter

I have Hoya HMC UV filters on all my lenses for protection and I have been very happy with them. This is my first non-UV filter and was purchased for my Nikon 35 1.8. The short review is that this is a great product and I would certainly buy it again. However, I do have 2 minor comments: 1) I stacked this filter onto the UV filter already on the lens. This means metal to metal on the threads, which does not hold as securely as the plastic threads of the lens. The polarizer would loosen up occasionally, but it seems to have settled in. I could certainly "solve" this by using just one filter (mounted to the plastic threads) at a time, but I prefer to leave the UV filter on for life and never worry about exposing the front element, even on a cheapo lens. 2) The rotating element on this filter has a bit of lateral play. I think the element stays parallel to the front of the lens, but even if it doesn't, I can't imagine this small motion would have ANY effect on image quality. I told you the comments were minor...

Bit os sticker shock when compaired to the film camera days, but that is to be expected with the new technology.
