Inexpensive polarizer for canon kit lens

As expected, this polarizer is good for removing many unwanted reflections (for example at aquariums). It threads onto both the EF-S 18-55 and EF-s 55-250mm canon IS lenses. The polarizer spins independently from the lens. How freely it spins is a reasonable compromise. The polarizer has a mark indicating polarization angle. It's only real downside is a propensity for getting stuck on the lens (difficult to remove).

Outdoor shooters can't go without this.

Perfect for outdoor sunny shooting. This polarizer can rotate to whatever angle you are shooting and eliminate any stray light glare. Easy screw mount and sturdy metal construction. The multi coated surface is perfect against full sun as it eliminates any lens flare. Highly recommended and well worth every penny.

Light rays which are reflected by any surface become polarised and polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens.
• They allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc.
• They also saturate colors and increase contrast.
•Polarizers come in two variations but have the same effect. Linear polarizers work with older camera meters; Circurlar polarizers are designed for today's newer split-beam metering systems used in auto focus cameras. Check your camera's manual.
