All that I expected.

When I first opened the package, I thought I'd made a mistake and ordered a travel unit for my Pentax batteries. It took me about ten minutes to see the swing-out wall outlet prongs! I have four batteries for my Pentax K10D; nothing is worse than a dead battery in the middle of shooting. This unit eliminates all concern for that.

Stopped Working In One Month

I was traveling over the holidays and I lost my camera's battery charger. (I shoot a digital SLR D300.) In a pinch I purchased this one. At first, both the wall and car charger worked great. Then that stopped working as well. Fortunately I got my hands on a quality charger the same make as my camera, and it charged my batteries fully. Now I have a useless piece of [$] plastic masquerading as an Adorama brand battery charger.

adorama Salesman saves Heartache with good advice

By

from Culpeper, Va  -  Photo Enthusiast

I have a D-80 and a small fortune in accessories. Suddently, the camera wouldn't work. Dead battery seemed the problem, so, put in the other battery and recharge the current one. Again, camera doesn't work, OK the 2nd battery likely needs a charge as well. Long story is, the batteries and camera are fine and for a small price I was able to obtain piece of mind by purchasing this battery charger. the adorama salesman was right on target when he helped select this product and I'm a happy camper

Works great

I misplaced my original charger for my Nikon D80. This was the one I ordered to replace it and it works great. Being able to use it while traveling is just a bonus.

Does not work with Nikon EN-EL3-E

By

from Wesley Chapel, FL  -  Photo Enthusiast

This item is simply incompatible with the Nikon EN-EL3E. The terminals are in the wrong place. On the other hand, when I called Adorama to complain, they simply gave me a credit for the purchase price and told me to keep it.

PIECE OF [*]!

By

from Buffalo NY  -  Semi-Professional

Not appropriate on any level for charging the Olympus BLM1 battery, as the description says. I wasn't necessarily looking for a regular charger, I really wanted a travel charger but I decided to try charging a battery the good old fashioned way, in the house. Plug the charger into the wall, put the Olympus BLM1 battery in and and it fell to the floor. Okay. How about we rubber band it in. Now it stays. But wait, after 4 hours it is still not charged. So. I wasn't expecting miracles for [$], just a charger I could keep in my truck to use on the road. It turns out it was a wasted [$]. Adorama gets so much of my money, a shame they had to sell me something that wouldn't do what was advertised.

Possible Fire Hazard

By

from Indianapolis, IN  -  Photo Enthusiast

I was hesitant about buying an off brand charger but decided to go for it based on the positive reviews and my previous experience with Adorama branded products. It arrived in a cheap generic looking box and the product itself seemed much too light for a charger. One nice thing about this is that the plug-in prongs flip out so there is no long cord like on the Nikon charger. I plugged my Nikon battery into it and plugged it in and a few seconds later I hear a crackling sound and smell smoke! Something must have burned up inside the charger. The exterior was fine and my battery seemed to have survived. This charger seems to be hit or miss so if you decide to get one keep an eye on it in case it starts a fire.On the plus side, Adorama was very good about taking it back [...]

Good so far.

By

from Overland Park, KS  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I've only had the charger a couple weeks, but so far it works as advertised. It will recharge fully discharged EN-ELe3 battery in about 2 hours. I've been using "live view" (NIkon) in around freezing temps, and that drains a battery fairly quickly. An in-car charger is a great idea!

I would buy tthis product again.

By

The two prongs on the charger eliminate the need for another wire. Charging is rapid.Cigarette lighter adapter (included) stays in the car, and permits charging my batteries during travel or while camping.
