Eventually you WILL bump your Canon DSLR and you'll wish you had this case. Maybe a little cumbersome when you need to react quickly to get a picture but that's the trade off. This case is an improvement over its predecessor, EH 18.

Covers the camera for protection, but very difficult to get on correctly and get the velcro fastened. Not very practical when you're in a hurry.

I use the case mainly for storage. When transporting I use my Backpack Gadgit Bag which offers better padding / protection for travel.

Wanted a protective cover for my Digital Rebel XSi by Canon that stayed secured to the camera while taking pictures. Keep in mind that this cover has a single, sling style, snap that loops over the neck strap. This enables you to slide the case up the neck strap, and remain attach to the neck strap while taking pictures. This is a clumsy feature that makes taking pictures ackward. I had also discovered that the snap is not a tight, secure snap. I had a few instances were I had nearly lost this case when it became unattached from the neck strap. To resolve this I had secured a small safety pin close to the snap. This is kind of tacky for a case that cost me [$].

The ideal would be for a case that the lens cover fliped down like on my AE-1. But, the digital camera design probably makes that difficult. Bottom line, it is a really inexpensive and convenient way to protects your camera when you're not using it. I made a 3-inch velcroe extension to keep the case closed whenever the medium zoom is attached. I feel I got my moneys worth.

Was hoping that this case was a nice, snug fit- but it's not. The quality of the construction seems good, but totally insufficient protection. For the price it just didn't make sense.

I wanted a cover for my camera that was much like the old leather covers you used to get for a film SLR tha just covered the camera and you flipped down the lens cover to shoot. I bought this case with this quote from the description in mind "Designed to conveniently expose the camera controls and LCD panel." I expected that you could operate the camera with the case on and just flip part of it down but that's not the case here. The case covers the camera but in order to take pictures you pull open the velcro strip and let the whole case dangle from your strap. I works but not as I'd expected. I thought the case was overpriced from the start but if it did what I expected then it was a very custom camera case so i could see why the cost. Other than been very compact there's nothing special about the case to justify the cost.
