Cons: The flash can't be turned off for those auto modes. It will burst if the camera thinks that you don't have enough light, you have no control over it. But yes, you can turn it on/off for those creative modes (manual).

I have two T2i's that I use to shoot weddings. I am a budget wedding videography which means I don't have the funds to buy 5d's and $1k lenses. However, the T2i offers superb quality and my clients are wowed by the quality of the video. I also use budget lenses which are, Tamron 17-50mm VC and Bower 14mm 2.8f along with a DIY Steadicam. Enough talk...watch my wedding highlight reel and the footage speaks for itself. jmzfilms

This is a great camera! I actually got mine back in march of 2011 and I messed up the clarity of my autofocus points recently. Thank God I still had the 1 year refurbished warranty (no questions asked)! But I use this camera a lot for video! Pictures are great too! Great deal especially now that its much cheaper. But if you have the extra money get the t3i because the swivel LCD screen is needed.

I'm a DJ that bought this to get better video and photo during my events. Since most of my events are in low light I needed something that would do pretty good. I use the Canon 50mm 1.8 lens most of the time. I don't like that the internal mic can't be adjusted. I would like it if I could turn down the volume during recordings.

I've used this camera mostly for travel. It combines a lot of great features with being not too heavy or large. The image quality is great - I get compliments on the photos I've taken all the time. I sometimes wish I'd waited until the T3i came out for the tilt screen, but otherwise I'm very happy.

Why bother going through canon direct when you have to pay sales tax for the same refurb model and you get a 1-year warranty here vs. the 90-day through canon? It makes total sense to go adorama![...] I could not distinguish the physical differences between this one and a brand new product. No signs of use, blemished, scratches, etc.. The camera performs great. I've only used an older canon xt before, but WOW this camera excels in so many areas! On a side note: if your working with raw images, I would recommend a 16gb sd card. Camera can only fit about 220 on a 8gb card. I started getting into the RAW format and now using adobe lightroom 3 for editing.

After much reasearch looking at the T2i vs. The 7D I went with the T2i and have not been sorry. I use the camera primarily for video and it is great. I invested the money I would have spent on a 7D on an extra lens. This was my first DSLR for video (had a nikon D60) and it is difficult to go back to shooting on a camcorder because I have loved shooting on this camera. Incredible image time quality on the T2i. It is light so I bough a flashpoint battery grip for extra battery life and bulk. Thinking of upgrading to the T3i for swivel out LCD and manual audio controls but for now my T2i is definitely giving me m money's worth and more. For a first time buyer, it is a great camera. You can get professional looking video without breaking the bank.

I bought this camera as a second camera for my wedding / theater photos. I love how easy it is to use and how crisp and clear the photos are.

I primarily use this camera for video capture. It lacks the ISO capability of the 5D, 7D or 60D with 1/3-stop increments, but for the money you can't go wrong with this camera. Installing the Magic Lantern firmware hack can turn this camera into a real beast putting it on a par with the 7D. It's great in low light situations when using the right lenses. Love the camera especially for video use and highly recommend it!

As more or a beginner this camera has it all. I am an avid hiker and love to take this light weight camera to take amazing shots. I am still learning a lot so I don't have any complaints about it!

This is my first DSLR, I am a beginner and I am hooked. The T2i has solidly placed me on the road to photography. I have had it for two months and now I am shooting exclusively in the creative modes. I have lots to learn [...] This is an excellent camera for someone new and did lots of research before buying. And it being refurbished hasn't dampered my enthusiasm. My only qualm is the kit lens, it could be packaged with a better lens, so I am now researching for an upgrade.

This is a great product that is often overlooked. Although the Canon T2i (along with the T1i, XS, XSi) is often considered an entry level DSLR, the quality and design is great enough to match the 7D and the 5D Mark II. Low light shooting with high ISO has a decent amount of noise, so I don't recommend this for a lot of low-lit areas. The build of the T2i body is very comfortable, you don't get the compact feel of the XSi; yet it isn't too heavy to make your hands tired after a few shots. Overall, a great piece of work that leaves me feeling that I don't NEED to upgrade anytime soon to a 5D Mark II.

I could find no flaw, mark, sign of wear, or fingerprint on body or lens when the camera arrived. Operation has been perfect. No hot pixels. I've had better luck with Canon refurbs than with new. I think the kit lens is way under rated.

As partner in a marketing company serving small businesses I wanted to get a camera that would do a good job with general photography and video production. The T2i does this very well. I was tempted by the T3i with the swivel screen and other features but being nearly the same camera this really meets my needs. I can capture great photographs for marketing materials, the web, etc... And I can shoot and produce great promotional and sales videos for clients. I have only had this for a month so far but it completely meets my needs and am glad I purchased the refurbished model. There is no issue whatsoever with it being refurbished and have found it to be very reliable and new in every way. I would suggest to everyone to save some money and buy this instead of the T3i if you are looking to save a couple hundred dollars. Plus you have nothing to lose with a warranty from Adorama for a year. Very happy customer in Ohio!

If your contemplating entering the world of DSLR, The T2i should be your first, don't even bother with anything less! The T2i shares a lot of features with it's big brothers, yet isn't overwhelming, due to the creative modes. It makes it very easy and quick, to graduate from 'point-and-shoot' to full out manual mode! Plus it's just flat out FUN! I didn't plan on using the video capabilities much, but after seeing what it can do, I see a lot of video work in my future,,lol As far as it being a refurb, no problems at all, and it looks brand new! With the same length warranty offered by Adorama, as Canon's, you can't go wrong and it makes the purchase just as confident. I've taken over 2000 shots in the month I've owned it. Can't wait to start getting some new lenses. You'll have no regrets with Canon and Adorama! Have fun and 'shutter' on!

I took this camera to Tunisia for it's first trip for fear of something happening to my 5D and was blown away at how good the image quality was and it was so easy my 80 year old grandmother was shooting on it. This camera is perfect if you're looking for a first DSLR or something less expensive to take into countries with civil unrest! I also got the 50mm 1.8 and it really surprised me the image quality of the two combined at that price is totally worth it for a beginner a back up ffor your more high end stuff. Travels light Easy to use Perfect beginner and travel camera Also if you pare it with the kit from adorama the bag they give you and the extra battery are both pretty big but I would recommend a 16gb card as well if you plan on doing a lot of video.

This is my first DSLR, and I love it. I find the kit lens to be very high quality for the price, and although it's slow, it focuses fast and the images come out quite sharp. I got the 100mm f/2.8 macro as well, which is a particularly sharp lens, and though the kit lens isn't as sharp as the 100mm, it's close enough to be comparable. I'm particularly impressed by the high-ISO performance of the camera, though I'm no expert, and I haven't used any other DSLR besides this one. However, the T2i blows away my Powershot P&S by a long ways in low light, and that's even with just the kit lens. I borrowed a 50mm f/1.4, and that combined with this camera was fantastic in low light.

I upgraded from a Canon Digital EOS Rebel XTi to a T2i. One of the first things I noticed when using the T2i is it's light-weight body. Just as with all digital cameras, there is noise at the highest ISO speeds. Noise reduction via any photo software works well at reducing this effect. The auto-ISO is great, but if you are particular about noise & you are an enthusiastic night photographer, adjusting the ISO & using manual mode is best. Photography is a passionate hobby of mine, and I enjoy using the T2i more than the XTi.

Got this Canon T2i DSLR for my wife for Christmas after she had been hinting at wanting a DSLR for some time. This brand and model were my selection after much time and research for the less than $ price point. I got an even better deal for the refurbished unit at Adorama and I am very satisfied. Besides the great price the camera works perfectly and looks great. She's taking classes now and is learning the many facets of how to use this fine camera. It has the capabilities to allow her to capture photos more creatively and artifully than her old point and shoot. She loves it!

Great product - with the extensive feature list, this should be everyone's first SLR. Easy enough to work with right out of the box, but definitely has the features needed to grow with you.

Upgraded from a point and shoot camera (Canon PowerShot A590IS) and the quality of photos is stunning in comparison. I actually bought the T2i for the video function but now I plan to use it as my stills camera too. Video is a little tricky getting used to, particularly judging exposure. The daylight, shade, and cloudy white balance presets are too warm for my taste. The auto white balance provides a more pleasing tonal quality, or the manual white balance.

If only it were a full frame camera, and if only the EOS system had not killed all my Canon FD and Tamron Adaptal lenses that are ALL capable of full frame use. Since it has a postage stamp sized sensor, it CAN use lesser priced lenses that a full frame camera requires.

The camera is as good as new. All original packaging and accesories are included. The kit lens is not great, but for the price it is awesome. I would highly recoment this refurbished kit.

I have only used the new camera a few times, but the times that I have, I was impressed with its ability to give me a great exposure even in backlit shots. The main reason I bought this camera was because of the higher number of metered spots, so that I do not have to lock my exposure on every shot to be sure what I want to set my exposure on is used.
