I needed an extra battery for my Canon 1D MkIV, and this used one fit the bill perfectly. I put it on the refresh cycle on my charger, and the battery performs like a new one. A lot less expensive than a new one. Thanks, Adorama.

I use canon brand batteries - they are over priced - they are dependable.

I was travelling to an area where recharging was not an option. I charged 3 batteries before I left and I did not run out of batteries for the entire 3 weeks. I did a lot of shooting in 'not ideal' settings. I'm always amazed at how long these stay charged.

Bought this batter as a back up for the Mark IV. It's the same battery that I use in the Mark III and those have been trouble free and efficient since the day I purchased them. i was glad Canon chose to use the same in the Mark IV, and should provide years of service if properly taken care of.

It's a battery! What can you say? Works flawlessly. 1D/s batteries last a lot less than their Nikon counterparts. Having said that I do not use my LCD often have the review set to a few seconds and I can easily get a days worth of shooting out these batteries - approximately 500-600 shots w/out supplementary lighting. 400-500 with.

When you are out doing bird and wildlife photography, you can't afford not to have an extra battery for your camera. The battey pack allows me several hundred shots before needing recharging, but with the 1DMk4, several hundred shots can go by quite quickly. It is essential to have at least one back up battery. I don't think any third party batteries are available for this camera, and I would not trust them anyway. It is just one of those things that you need, so you buy it and it will last a very long time.

Just back form San Francisco took several thousand shots with no loss indicated on camera meter. Never had to bring out my backup.

I was not able to make use of the product. Unfortunately the camera was sent to me with a Nikon charger instead of a Canon charger, so I didn't even get to try this battery out. I subsequently returned the item (and the camera and wrong brand charger)

Worth the extra money over 3rd party batteries? Not entirely sure.
