This was one of the best image quality pocket size cameras from Canon. I lost it but still have the great shots taken with it.

I have a Canon Rebel but find I use this camera more often because I carry it in my small purse! 10MP gives me room to crop my photos. When turned off, the lense telescopes in and a protective cover slides over it so the whole camera is encased in a sturdy metal case. It is a camera that can be used very simply or you can choose options to be very creative. My husband uses it because he only needs to turn it on and press the shutter, I like to have options for lighting and color, et. I also bought this camera for my sister and brother-in-law.

this camera takes very clear pictures. I was very happy with it until it broke and i wasn't able to fix it. It breaks very fast. Although it is a great camera i would rather buy a different model # from canon.

Wanted a camera that my wife could carry in her purse and that I could "borrow" when my dslr was to big or I forgot it.

I am a semi-pro photographer and primarily use a DSLR for my work, but wanted to replace a stolen point-and-shoot for everyday use, and I am glad that I decided on this little gem. It's a beautiful design, the screen is wonderfully big, and the features on the back are sleek and easy to use. Some people new to photography may not get the full benefit of some of its features (controllable ISO, manual settings, etc) but if you read about it, there's a fair amount to control. The megapixels are nice and photo quality is generally pretty good. I have found that not using flash in lower light conditions produces very shaky images...much shakier than I would like, but I suppose that comes with the point and shoot territory. I also haven't figured how to play back video on the camera with sound. I ALSO really like that you can simply review the pictures by pressing the little "play" arrow without turning the whole camera on and extending the lens. Also, once the camera is all the way on, if you want to take a picture, all you have to do is press the shutter button annd it switches you back to photo mode. There's no "switch" or slider to go back and forth, so that's useful. Definitely recommend.
