Questions & Answers

ROLANDO S : Does refurished mean all physical look like new? No scratches on the screen? They just fixed the cameras funtionality?JOHN E : The refurbished camera I received was in perfect condition. It looked just like brand new.ANDREW P : I cannot say for sure as this was sent directly to my son. I have bought a similar model refurbished camera from Canon in the past and it essentially looked just about new -- maybe a minor scratch or two and that was about it.KIM M : I bought a re-furbished Canon SX120 from Adorama and it looked JUST LIKE NEW. This is the best camera I have ever owned. It takes the best pictures. I will never buy anything but a Canon from now on. I would not hesitate to buy a re-furbished. You will not be disappointed. Mine was bought three years ago and is still nice. Good luck.REBECCA A : I bought one and it was pretty much like new. there was a very small scratch on the screen, but completely worth the price. :)
Shopper : Does refurished mean all physical look is like new? What has een done was the operation of the camera internally? Any scratches on the screen?CAROL L : Our refurbished camera has been great. We've never had any trouble with it and it was just like new.ZHENRONG C : Don't worry, it just like a blank new one. But you need to consider the battery. It is too shor to use.

Bad image quality and poor stabilization

I don't understand how my PS A65 and my PS A80, both much older cameras, took better, crisper, clearer photos. I was in awe of the image stabilization on these two cameras - especially the A80. I couldn't believe I could take photos of my nieces and nephew and it caught them at a dead stop almost every shot. But I don't see this same awesomeness from this camera or from the 130 (My sister recieved the latter as a gift). The LCD isn't even as clear. Maybe that's the constant focusing. But it always appears out of focus. The reason I give a con to the "No viewfinder" is because the LCD screen on my A60 just died - it will no longer display while taking photos, it will show the photo once it's been taken though, I have no idea what that's about. But, without a viewfinder, my A60 would be almost useless. The reason I upgraded to this one, when I still had working working Canons was due to the lure of the 10x zoom and it was a Dave's Pick. But all in all I'm sorry I purchased this camera. And I can't understand how it gets such great reviews when I have two older cameras that take better pictures - why is that?

garbage

camera feature instructions are an on line 300 page book. instruction book that came with camera was incomplete and of little use. Images were not quality. I will not buy another canon product. A part fell out of the battery holder and made the camera inoperable. generally a piece of junk that I spent over $200.00 for.

Glad I bought this camera!

I bought this camera the day before I went on a trip to San Diego with my son. We went to Sea World and The San Diego Zoo. I absolutely love this camera and take it everywhere with me! I wanted something compact for trips when I don't want to lug around my bigger DSLR; this camera fits the bill. I can't think of anything that I don't like about it. I was amazed at the quality of the photos once they were printed~~terrific! I took over 300 photos before I had to change batteries. I only use ultimate lithium batteries which last up to 8x longer in digital cameras. And the playback feature with the LCD screen to review your photos is good, lets you see which ones you want to keep & discard. Before my digital experience I used only a film camera and have to admit, have been totally spoiled by the digital craze! Attached are 2 photos to show the quality of the photos this camera can produce. How you use the programmable features is up to you, the creativity is endless! Hope you like them.

Continuous auto focus !!!

Works great for action photos when the dial is set to P {Program} then going into the menu and turning on continuous auto focus, it will use up the bat quicker because the camera is always focusing, no more waiting for it to focus befor taking the shot.

A great little camera!

I carry this camera everywhere. I especially love taking nature photos and get great results especially in low light wooded areas. Pictures are crisp and the colors are clean and true. Love it!

Just what I need

Compact and light weight, bought it to take to family reunion. Large LCD will allow camera to be passed around and viewed by other family members.

Amazing camera at great price

Got this camera a few weeks ago and love it. The zoom is the best you can get in this price range, which I look forward to taking advantage of at upcoming baseball games in the summer. Have used the camera to take some great shots on some hikes as well as nightlife, with limited indoor lighting. Upgrading from a much more basic digital camera that was around 5 years old, I was initially intimidated by the amount of functions, however with a little playing around everything seems to makes sense. Also love the compact-ness of the camera.

User friendly, especially for a new user

I absolutely love how bright the pictures are in low light, even without the flash. It takes great pictures, even if we are moving at the moment. The auto-focus feature makes picture taking fun and easy. The LCD is huge, and clear! I have used this camera indoors and out, low light and darkness, moving kids, and sedentary adults. I am a beginner, and using this camera has been a great experience, especially with the instructional CD included. Overall, it is an amazing camera, and I would buy it again.

Great Camera!

Actually my son has this camera as a Christmas present. I have used it and I am very favorably impressed with the image quality for the price range and class of this camera. No, it will not quite perform as well as the Canon G10 that I have, but it is honestly very nice in what it will do. I have some 20x30 inch prints from it that are decent. Use good rechargeable batteries for lowest cost of operation. Best ISO will be around 80 or 100 for highest resolution and image quality. I give it five stars as for the price, I would consider it perfect. Very pleased with the camera [...]

Many features but finding them though?

This is my first digital camera. The features are very good however learning how to turn them on/off can be frustrating. The user guide comes on a cd disc and when I printed it out I was presented with a one sided page copies of 8 1/2 x 11 sheets 143 pages! Give me a break with that!Finding the features and options on the go is difficult as they are coded in an abbreviated form that I find difficult to remember. Why not just plain english? The camera is good for children and family shots and travel snapshots. I'll stick with my film SLR's for quality images where I have control of my work.I think one can't go far away from the battery charger.I took pictures at a family gathering and the battery needed a charge after about 35 images.
