I found out that you can increse the speed of an old computer by adding inexpensive memory (in this case a laptop) that has an pcmcia port and use it to handle the swap file and tmp files. No more harddrive swapping.

My wife has a sewing machine that required this adapter in order to communicate with her computer, and transfer designs!!!
