Add memory to an old laptop

I found out that you can increse the speed of an old computer by adding inexpensive memory (in this case a laptop) that has an pcmcia port and use it to handle the swap file and tmp files. No more harddrive swapping.

Slow

It took twice as long to transfer data using this compared to using my camera with the USB cable on my powerbook G4.

I found out that you can increse the speed of an old computer by adding inexpensive memory (in this case a laptop) that has an pcmcia port and use it to handle the swap file and tmp files. No more harddrive swapping.

This adapter allows to read, write or transfer data between a Compact Flash type 1 or 2 card and a portable.

It complies to mechanical and electrical standards for the PC CARD (PCMCIA) format. The card connectors are protected with a special mechanism on the adapter too.
