I've had this reader for less than a year. it stopped working so i looked inside and about 4 pins were bent and one was broken off. spend money on something better.

Very flimsy
It's very flimsy. I bough an 8GB card and the reader. On the first try with cable, it did not work at all. When I plugged the reader directly on the PC (that means I have to remove other stuff using adjacent USB ports due to the size of the reader), it did work.
The extension cable split apart after 4 times plug and unplug the reader, revealing on of the 4 cables was broken.

Great CF card reader
great for the price and definitely much faster transfer than using USB cable hooked up to the camera.

Flimsy & Not the same item in picture.
The item I received was not the same that is in the picture. The card reader I received was very flimsy, made a rattling noise and the pins started to bend.[...]

Good purchase
Makes copying photos to my computer much easier and faster than plugging the camera into the computer.

not disappointed
I have 2 small computers. Neither have compact flash card readers, so this is a perfect, small, easy to use product to downlod CF cards. I have never been disappointed with Adorama.

It does the job well
It works well and for less money than others. Fairly simple gadget if you don't want to carry around an usb cable you don't have to. It can be removed or used at anytime.
