About Eye-Fi 8GB Class 10 SDHC

The Eye-Fi Mobi Wireless SDHC Card connects your camera to your Android smartphone/tablet, iPhone/iPad via extremely simple setup and instant connection so your best digital photos & videos are instantly saved and ready to share. With state-of-the-art technology and built-in WiFi that anyone can use, Mobi delivers exceptional Class 10 Speed performance for both video and still shots straight out of the package.

Eye-Fi cards are compatible with thousands of cameras, very likely including the one you already own. But, a variety of popular models from Canon, Nikon, Sony and other well-known brands have integrated additional Eye-Fi technology to improve your overall experience
Cameras with the Eye-Fi Connected logo signify an improved user experience and, in some cases, advanced features. Eye-Fi connected cameras can detect when an Eye-Fi card is being used and most of these cameras will stay powered on until the photo & video uploads are complete, have an on screen icon signaling transfer activity and provide the ability to enable or disable Eye-Fi card WiFi via the camera menu. Some camera models will even identify which photos & videos have already been uploaded with an on-screen icon.

Easy enough to setup, and very very cool

We put this in our Nikon D7000, and paired it to my wife's iPhone 5. Easy enough to setup, and works great! Only three caveats: 1) Somehow we don't have the "share to Facebook" button in EyeFi Mobi that we should. So we have to transfer the photos from Mobi to the phone gallery, and share from there. 2) If we transfer photos throughout a day of shooting, we end out transferring the same photos multiple times. 3) I had turned on the EyeFi cloud upload option, but that quickly burned thru a mon

Make your photography easier

This product was better than I expected! I now can transmit my files from my Canon 5D MarkIII to my HTC One Max, which has a 5.9in screen. Much better to see the photos in real time on my phone.

The amazing thing about this purchase is I was looking for a product that would do exactly what this product does. Adorama sent me the advertisement via e-mail I read it, purchased it and now I am buying 2 more. We call that "Win Win" thanks for being proactive.

Great For Instant Sharing of Images

By

from Brooklyn, NY  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

I purchased this memory card because I wanted a way to share images (whether from photo shoots or photo walks) on social media without having to do a screenshot of my camera's LCD. It was easy to setup on my Canon 60D and my iPhone 4. Had a little trouble with it getting the devices to connect to one another at first but then it worked the way I expected it to. Please keep in mind that this model will only transfer JPG files to your phone/tablet, not RAW files. I like the fact that once the images are on your phone you can send them to friends (or low-res proofs to clients) via email, text, or DropBox; or you can post them to social media with ease. My two issues is that (1) my memory card reader didn't recognize this card at all, leaving me to transfer the files to my computer by way of USB cable and Lightroom. (NOTE: I don't know if this is with all memory card readers) And (2) because it uses Wi-Fi, you have to wait until the transfer is complete to use it to share the images (or use your phone's 3G/4G in the meantime). In the end, I'd recommend it to the photographer that wants to share what they captured from their camera's instantaneously.

Questions about this item:

jay r  do i need the eye fi usb card reader for my desktop or will a standard usb reader work?
YEE HAN C  A standard USB reader will work.
jay r  thank you,
torsten l  How does it fit in to a camera with CP flash like nikon d 4,is there any adapter ?
DANIEL T  No. Just swap out the card and you're in business. I have a Nikon DSLR and you select eyefi from the menu on the camera. I upload to an Ipad, download the app for Ipad and turn it on and the photos upload automatically. It is pretty sweet.
Kenneth G  Daniel: The Nikon D4 uses CompactFlash cards, not SD cards. They are a different physical size and shape. So this EyeFi SD card will not fit.
ellen b  so if the desktop was wifi and wireless, then i just download the program and I dont have to use any usb cords or take to card out of the camera to transfer photos from card in camera to computer.?
DUANE M  Correct. Once you set up the mobi software ti identify your network(s), and location where you want your photos to download to, then you don't have to remove the card from your camera. When the card detects your network, it will automatically download your photos to your computer or selected destination. Be sure to leave your camera on long enough to give all the photos a chance to download.
