Questions & Answers

Kiku C : Will this card work with/record long videos on the Canon T3I EOS 600D? because I've been having problems (as well as other people) with sd cards and my Canon 600D, to where it will only record videos 6 to 12 seconds long.. so it would help a lot if any other Canon camera owners told me it's compatibility with your camera. -Thank you.JOEY S : I use the 32GB Sandisk Pro in my Nikon D750 and it work like a charm. Fast and reliable.
DENISE J : why does it say 60 but the features say 40 as speed?BRENT J : Adorama asked me to assist you. It must be the upgraded speed. The disk I purchased was only 45mb/ sec as opposed to this new 60mb. So when you order I would expect the new faster disk
Shopper : Can this card be used for Underwater photography with Panasonic DMC-TS5?JOSEPH M : YesJOSEPH M : I don't see why not, as long the camera itself is water proff or in a under water housing

SanDisk Memory Cards Work!

I've used SanDisk memory cards exclusively on my DSLR cameras and always have been completely satisfied with their performance. The 16GB Class 10 cards work perfectly with my Nikon D7000 camera!

Reliable memory card

I've had two memory card failures so I try to reduce my exposure to risk by changing cards daily so at worse, I lose one days photos and videos

OK for Nikon D90

On my Nikon D90 I measured 11.1 MByte/sec by capturing 10 RAW images in a row using the fast continuous shutter. Not quite the 30 MByte/sec that the D90 is supposed to be capable of. On a borrowed D7100 I measured 33.5 MByte/sec. Still not quite the 45 MB/s claimed on the product. But the cameras might not be writing continuously. To test I set manual focus, shutter at 1/200 sec, RAW image only, Shutter at CH. Then held the button down and recorded the file time stamps fitting a line between images two through ten. I can not compare this to my original card as it broke. Also note that this is my second post as I made a math error in my first try. It would be nice to see more speed tests for the D90 using the newer UHS SDHC cards. I recommend getting rid of your old ones as the plastic case of my 4 year old card failed, leaving parts in the camera after which I was unable to continue shooting. Note that was not a SanDisk card.

OK card in Nikon D90

Little is written on which UHS SD card to choose for our old Nikon D90 cameras. So I punted on this one. I shot and saved 10 raw 9.3 MB images. The time stamps went from zero to 6 min. Using images 2-10 gives me 0.80 raw images/min, or 0.185 MBytes/sec or 1.48 MBits/sec. No where close to the stated 45 MB/sec for this card or the 30 MB/sec that the D90 is supposed to be able to do. Now maybe the D90 isn't writing continuously. Unfortunately my best older card broke so I can't do a direct comparison. I borrowed a D7100, and ripped off 14 raw 27.4 MB images with time stamps from zero to 10 min. Using images 2 through 14 we calculate 0.78 images/min, 0.559 MBytes/sec, or 4.469 MBits/sec. Again this doesn't match the 45 MByte/sec spec. Note I set the shutter speed to 1/200, focus to manual, and high multiple shot mode. The D7100 slowed down after about 6 images. The D90 barely slowed at all. At this point I'm ok with one image per minute. But both the D90 and the D7100 are rated higher than that for continuous shooting.

Sandisk 16GB Class 10 Memory Card

I bought these to use in the Nikon D5300 camera I purchased separately. Very fast storage and they handle the 24 MP files from the D5300 very well. Fast cownload from the card to computer using Nikon software. Sandisk quality, enough said!

Does what it is supposed to do

I'm not sure what to say about an SD card that does what it is supposed to do. The only thing that might be different is that the word is that not all cards work with Nikon SDLR's. This one does. It just works.

Excellent!

Used for general shooting with my D-90. Writes quickly from camera memory, can be used for rapid shooting, i.e., sports. I was quite pleased to find a plastic case supplied with this card; I hope SanDisk continues to do that, I find them very handy and can simply drop a spare card into my pocket. I'm a retired professional and now shoot photos for my amusement and friends.

Been using these memory cards for many years without any disappointment. I ordered more because I never want to be without expecially on long trips where I shoot a lot of nature photography with my Nikon D-90.

San Disk is Solid

Perfect for me. the 45mb speed is a cut above what I need and the dependability is Solid. At the price of $17 it's a steal. I use them in a Nikon 7000 and 5200. Also in a Canon G10 camcorder.

Fastest so far on Canon 60D

Bought this for use in a Canon 60D. Currently using PNY, Trancend, and SanDisk Ultra(?). Was a little worried at first because the SanDisk Ultra was by far the slowest memory I had. It wouldn't even do HD video (the other cheapies would). The SanDisk Extreme is much faster on my 60D. It clears the buffer in roughly half the time as the others. Very happy!

Fast memory card

Fast memory card with a medium size capacity. So far, it has worked well. No delays observed in writing to the card, but have not tried low or high speed shots yet.

It is as advertised

Bought this because I wanted to start shooting raw with my older Lumix FZ28. The SD card shoots as fast as the several years old processor in the camera can handle. Even when shooting "raw + jpg" mode there was no noticeable lag difference (about 1.5 pics a second). In burst mode (camera cuts to a jpg only resolution to 3mpix) it was like shooting a still shot movie. It kept going and going and going. Never buffered out. With a newer camera it would have been even better.

Unexpected excellence

Picked this guy up with a freebie bundle for my Canon Powershot S110. 2 things... 1. I ran some benchmarks on it, this is the most "responsive" card I own. It has no warm-up time, immediately peaks at 45mb/sec for both read and write every time. Even my 100mb/sec CF card doesn't do that, it requires some warm up to peak at it's rated spec. 2. Fast memory cards = better camera battery life. This card is perfect for anything that takes an SD card. Why? Even the new Canon 6D won't write faster than 45mb/sec to an SD card, that's 15mb/sec faster than my more expensive 5DMIII will to SD, but if you need faster, that's what the CF option in my more expensive 5DMIII is for... Bottom line, this is as fast as you're gonna get for a SD card for a camera, you can get faster cards but they're only faster in your computer, not your camera. Last thought, I just picked up a "higher end" PNY 64GB that does 90mb/sec read and 50mb/sec write on a fire sale for my 5DMIII, this SanDisk is superior in that it has no warmup time, IE less latency, but I need the bigger 64GB for my 5DMIII, and the better battery life of this 16GB card in my PowerShot S110 since it has less battery life than my big full frame monster thus it's a good match. If Adoroma fire-sold a bigger version of this card, I'd grab it in a heartbeat instead of my "higher end" PNY Extreme.

Works Perfectly

By Dancing D.

SanDisk is TOPS in reliability. Read countless reviews, and you will find that a SIGNIFICANT percentage of the cheaper memory cards have experienced serious failure problems. Anyone who buys cheap memory cards is being penny wise and pound foolish. Also, there are millions of counterfeit SanDisk [and other] memory cards being sold on the internet, and buying from Adorama gives me absolute confidence that I am receiving the genuine article. The only drawback to this particular model of Sa...
