Good card, but somewhat outdated now with UHS-I cards available at reasonable prices. I have three of these cards in different capactiies; the 4, 8, and 16GB versions. I don't often use the 4GB anymore, but the 8 and 16 seem to have the same performance as far as I can tell. Curiously, these cards will record 1080i video with no issues in my Canon camcorder, but can't keep up with my Nikon D5100 in continuous shooting mode (4 photos/second) for more the 5-6 photos. It is fast enough to keep up with my Nikon D40 (1.5 photos/second), however. If you don't need UHS-I speeds this is an excellent choice.

The SanDisk 8 GB, Extreme III Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) Memory Card has met or exceeded my highest expectations. My friend who recently earned his college degree in photography and is now a successful pro, recommended I order this high capacity Class 10 memory card. My SanDisk 8 GB, Extreme III Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) Memory Card optimizes the High Definition Video capabilities of my Canon T2i and provides a great platform for both in camera use and long term backup storage for my images.

These are good cards. I trust SanDisk! I've never had a problem with one of their cards and I have a lot of them.

Reliable and plenty fast enough to store images in bursts from our Nikon D7000.

I make photographs every day for a blog. The card gets used more than a dozen times a day and doesn't let me down. Quick and reliable. I've been using SanDisk for years.

I got a set of two for use in my D7000. These are the only brand (Sandisk) that I use as they have never given me problems in any of my Nikons. Adorama has very good pricing and are always great to deal with. What more could you want?

This was a great value even when I got it. The deal now is even better. Works every time with multiple formats per week for almost 2 years.

1 of my cards did not work. After inspection, I noticed a "shard" of plastic that looked out of place over the contacts. I picked it off and the card has worked fine ever since.

I would purchase the larger capacity units the next time, but I have had no problems using this one.

I have two of these cards. They are super-reliable and hold many photos. Once when my computer would not recognize the card, I just re-formatted it, and it was back to being perfect. Great on our Alaska trip. Would recommend highly.

It works, plain and simple. I ordered two at the time, and I haven't had problems with either. I have one in my Nikon D60 and the other in my Canon SD1400. The only complaint is that on my D60, it takes a long time to write (at high quality, it takes around 4 seconds). On my SD1400, it also seems a little sluggish, but not nearly as much as on my D60. But I gave it 5 stars because I don't know if the sluggishness is due to something I don't understand on my cameras, or if it's simply a limitation of my cameras. If you're taking a lot of videos, the card fills up fast (as you might expect), so I would suggest getting a 16GB version instead if you're going on vacation and plan to take video.

This card is much faster than the Class 6 cards I had been running. Used in a Nikon D90 for fast candid and portrait photography.

Like any memory card that's a 6 or higher this preforms quickly and efficiently.

Great speed and everything that the product advertises. No regrets except that I should have gotten at least a 16 GB for my T2i because the video really tears through it fast. If you just do stills then it is fine.

After using a variety of other cards, came back to the sandisk Class 10 SHDC with a confirmatinon - this is the solid one for an photographer who prefers reliability and speed. I prefer to keep splits of 8 GBs as it helps in quicker file access (in comparison to 16GB or 32 GB) and for event photography it helps when we have more than one card. The card is fast even with high end, fast DSLRs. I was using a sandisk class 10 SHDC card for a bit long time now, and never for once it had failed me- used with bad weathers including snow, intense cold & rains, and no issues yet. While recording HD video we will really know the advantage of the card; My DSLR used to give buffering message with other class 10 brands, but with Sandisk I've never seen that. Records smoothly and instantly completes saving. With high fps shooting the images are saved without delays - keeps in pace with DSLR's speed very well. The deal of 2 cards as a combo was really good. Overall this is the best reliable card for any one who loves their photos. Recommend the purchase highly.

I researched a lot before ordering and use this with my Nikon D7000, taking advantage of the fastest card, reading/writing, that I know of.

This SDHC card has the capacity I want, and more than I will probably need when shooting stills and/or videos with my DSLR. It's 3MB/Second write speed means that it can keep up with my camera when shooting three frames per second.

I do notice the increased processing speed when in the field. I have not run it through the ringer enough to justify its much higher pricetag.

I use this card in My Canon T2i for taking stills and High Definition video. The SanDisk Extreme 8GB Class 10 card writes and reads fast and reliably. No errors, glitches, or stuttering. This is a great memory card and a great value.

Buy class 10 cards for any camera shooting with large pixel resolution or when shootng in RAW and JPEG combined format (or class 6 minimum). Don't bother with the cheapo class 2 or the class 4 that are labeled "high speed" you will be disappointed if you are using a high quality DSLR and want to shoot fast multiple images(purely my opinion from past experience;theles expensive ones work fine for single shots). If you have a "point and shoot" or cell phone camera; buy the cheapest ones you can because it doesn't matter, they will work just fine.

Compared to my other memory cards, this one blows them out of the water. I love the 30 MB/s read and write speed, it allows for very fast upload and download speeds both on my camera and my computer. Well worth the investment!

Perfect match for Extreme Events
By Jerry M.
I own (2) of this model card along with (2) Extreme IV compact cards with my Canon 1D Mark III. I shoot thousands of images per year of Grand National Motorcycle Races, Unlimited Hydro Plane Boats, Air Races, Soccer, etc., which are highly demanding of write-to-card speed and reliable storage. To date with the (4) SanDisk Cards I have never lost a single image Raw or Jpeg. SanDisk Memory has been stellar in every way possible. The writing time within the camera and transfers to the comput...
