This camera more than meets the needs of a normal family camera. At this price you shouldn't expect professional camera quality. It's compact, light and 10 MP is pretty darn good for the price. The only downside that I can come up with is that is uses regular batteries, which means that you need to carry extra batteries with you on trips or get rechargable batteries along with a charger. Overall, nice little camera.

Great camera. Set it on the shutter setting and adjust the shutter for excellent photos of high speed objects. I was able to shoot paintballs mid-flight and my saint bernard sprinting with no blur. Great Movies too. Many, many options. I really can't believe the camera you get for the money. 15x optical zoom is fantastic. Great feel as well. Solidly built.

I find myself often accidentally pushing other buttons when I'm trying to just hold the camera in a specific way - I think because of where they are located. But overall, I think this is a really great camera. I've gotten excellent results from it.
