I have two non Fuji branded batteries and they do not last as long as the factory batteries. For me I will not buy any more non Fuji batteries for My IS-Pro.

Our company has been a professional photography business since 1953 and have seen alot of changes in photography. Heck, we used to make our own chemicals to put in the trays to develop our sheet film and prints. The business has come a long way and so has technology. We used to carry large batteries on our shoulders and now look at this new technologically advanced battery. It is rechargable, dependable and fits in the pocket of your shirt or suit pocket. When away on assignment I carry one or two extras just incase I need them, but usuall I only need the one. I can easily get 2,000 exposures from one of there batteries when I photograph one of by larger schools. Don't worry it is worth the price.

I recommend using Fuji OEM batteries with the S5. If you're moving up to or already are a VR lens user you'll be needing plenty of these. Important: Number your batteries (I use white nail polish) and rotate them for maximum life. Though this battery is exactly the same voltage and mAh as the Nikon, you will void your warranty by using anything other than Fuji OEM batteries.
