HP 61 ink cartridge
Purchased to have on hand for a spare. Have never had any problems with HP products. This is the only brand of ink I buy.

Justify the price, please.
Someone has yet to explain to me why these cartridges should cost over $60.The tech is old, so it's not $$ being spent on developing a new technology. They're small. There isn't a huge amount of ink in the cartridge. The ink itself isn't some exotic and expensive concoction, So. WHY?

Good and Bad
67 Ink cartridges are reasonable in price, however the 2800 series all in one printer that I bought is not that great. Sorry I bought it. Nothing but problems with it.

quick service on the delivery. my post office, doesn't like that only a physical address is allowed, as they would have to locate who I am (good thing the office is small), otherwise the package wouldn't be delivered without a PO Box number)

Defective?

There is No Way to Return a Defective Cartridge
I have been using the HP 61 cartridge for at least 10 years with zero problems. My HP printer and HP laptops have been very reliable.
Back in November 2025, I purchased a cartridge which would not work properly. I was unsure whether it was my relatively old HP printer or the cartridge. Purchased a new cartridge and it worked perfectly so I assumed the first one was defective.
I assumed it would be a simple matter to call HP customer service, explain the situation and have them replaced the defective cartridge. Not so. I made several calls and wound up with either tech support or the ordering department. Each pointed to the other and I was never able to get a replacement.
I'm quite disappointed in HP. Thought they would be able to do a better job of customer service.

Emptied Wallet
Functions without issues. Hard to find these 61XL cartridges singularly, impossible to find double packs. Outrageously expensive. Almost cheaper to just buy a new printer.

Cartridges at too expensive for what you get
For what you get meaning the number of pages it is way too much money for cartridges. I am going to buy a different brand of printer next time.

61XL TriColor Cartridge
The HP 61XL Tricolor Ink Cartridge is very hard to find retail.
Online from HP is consistently reliable and delivefry is fast.
Cost is high; cartridge easily loads and confirms that it's ready to go.
