Questions & Answers

Shopper : my boss just purchased a HP Laserjet Pro 100 for his shore home. I have not seen it but need to get ink cartridges for it. What is the product # for ink and how do you change the cartridges?JOANNE D : I think that the LaserJet Pro 100 only is made as color. That is what I now have. It takes a HP126A Toner cartridge. There are 4 separate toner cartridges, one is black, one cyan, one magenta, one yellow. If you get the HP brand toner cartridges they are about $60 each. There is a program that is part of the software install that tells you the % remaining and when one is out you will be notified which color to change. You open up the top. One the small control panel there is a button that rotates the toner cartridges. Rotate to the one that needs changing. Slide it out and slide the new one in. There will be instructions in the new toner cartridge box.
Shopper : Does it have Bluetooth?Glen H : Unfortunately no, this unit does not offer bluetooth connectivity.
Shopper : is it wireless?ANDREW R : Yes, this unit is equipped with 802.11b/g/n wireless.

Excellent printer, now tragically broken.

We used this printer in our production office for film productions on location for five years. It functioned flawlessly, enabling us to print documents wirelessly on a tight schedule. But this week, while in the process of changing an ink cartrisge, it emitted a horrible screeching sound. It did not stop, and upon examination I discovered that the drive belt for the carridge transport had shredded in one spot. So we sadly have to sideline it, but I am hoping this can be repaired. I hate the idea of discarding a perfectly good product for want of a single small part. I will investigate with Service.

Bad Printing results after some years of uasag

Since a few days my HP Laser Jet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw is now printing with "stripes in the left half and on the right edge" of the DINA4 copies. What should I do?

Don't waste your money

On my second one of these printers. Returned the first one as a result of paper skewing when feeding. Bluetooth connection is unreliable. Paper feed is always skewed, sometimes resulting in printer jam. Ink cartridges dry up and become unusable if the printer is not continually used. Would chalk this up to a defective unit, but this is my second exhibiting the same issues.

iPad incapable

Purchased this product after a local sales agent assured me that I could print via Bluetooth directly from my iPad. How disappointing. Nice little printer otherwise. Needs an app that would allow you to do this similar to your competition has developed for their product.

Worked well with my windows laptop but not Mac

Over the past years this printer has always worked well with my windows laptops through bluetooth connection but now we have moved to Mac and my MacBook Pro doesn't see the printer in the bluetooth window, printer on, bluetooth blue light lit up but no connection. Wondering if others are having this issue.

Great mobile printer!

Love this printer! Had mine for over 3 years and hardly any problems. It's been all over the country with me and been a life saver for my small business.

Sprb prntots, adte B'Tth rnge & bttry lfe

I purchased an HP411Bt printer at least three (3) years ago(around 2011/2012) & the unit has performed exquisitely at all times. As an automation consultant, I used it at my clients’ offices; they (clients) were quite impressed by the crisp sheets it produced. While I do not know the (printer’s) BlueTooth’s version, nor the BlueTooth’s power class, the range (printer/laptop separation) and the printing speed are more than adequate for all my uses. Now that I am retired, my wife uses this unit as her sole printer – got rid of her tethered unit. We use the HP ink cartridges only (NOT refill’s); & 24 lb (minimum) paper. Suggestion,Admonition: If you purchase this unit (as with all HP products) download all software (drivers/ updates . . . ) from the HP site. Do not use the CD’s furnished with the device.

Too Slow!

Printer is compact and great to work in the car for emergency printing. But it prints super slow. Not sure if it's my computer, but it takes 2-3 minutes to print a page. Don't have time to wait!!!

Mobility Matters

We needed a printer to take on the go. This one works for us. We did have a few paper feeding issues, but other than that - it is great. Now we can print certificates for clients real-time!

Prints well

I use this printer in my truck. It prints very well and the battery lasts a couple of weeks between charges. After a couple of months with tech support we FINALLY got the bluetooth to talk to my HP computer. It kind-of worked until I upgraded my home printer. The bluetooth has never worked since and I gave up. I bought a new one recently because I tried to clean the heads on the old one and it jammed up and I had to destroy the cartrages to get them out. After that, everytime the heads needed cleaning I had to throw the cartrages out and install new ones. Anyway, except for the Bluetooth the new one works great, and now I use the old one as a battery charger for the second battery.

RUN!!!

I run a small business and have always owned HP printers and, for the most part, have loved them all. With that said, this printer is garbage. HP missed the mark on this one. The concept is great but the paper feed just doesn't cut it. I can't get anything to feed through. By reading the reviews, I'm not the only one.

I HATE this printer

If you are looking for a slow, expensive to operate, frustration creating monster than this printer is for you. As I write this review I have been trying to print 4 checks, it has taken over an hour because after each check it has to "cool down" for 15 minutes. The toner is expensive and the drum didn't last a full year. What is keeping me from throwing this printer into the street and beating it "Office Space" style? Nothing, as a matter of fact, as soon as I decide on a new printer I am doing just that. Thanks for creating this evil HP.

worst printer I have ever had!

This is the worst printer I have ever had. SLOW, riddled with trouble and firmware update made issues worse. Now I am stuck with a 5 month old printer that works 2/10 attempts. Not up to HP standards.

Not what we expected

I would have expected a mobile printer to be wifi compatible, however the only thing that makes it mobile is it has a battery. It would not even hook up to BlueTooth on my ipad, although "Blue Tooth" was the major sellnig point. Very dispointed with this printer

Product is advertised as a MFP. It is not. There is no fax function.

Good choice for the money

The set-up was fairly straight forward, though it was a bit more complex due to my network security. Once I was able to work through that with the HP Printer, things went well. Single touch buttons for color and black and white copies are convenient. It would have been nice to have the same functionality for scans. I was able to set this printer up to work with 5 computers on my network, but without being able to launch the scan function from the printer and selecting the computer to send the files to, limits the effectiveness of the product. The delay between when jobs are sent to the printer and when they actually start does take quite a long time. Printing is a bit slow for a laser printer, which makes this a good printer for light duty applications. Eprint is a nice feature and should come in handy. I also use an IPAD on my network and I am now able to print from it to this printer. The color is good, not great, but I do not print photos so I am not as concerned about that issue.

M175nw - Good Choice !

What a pleasant experience. Unpack, follow a few simple steps for wireless connection, and voila! Printer hookup and driver installation has finally come of age and has ceased to be the nightmare it used to be. The HP "Smart Install" process worked flawlessly on the first attempt. Well done, HP.

DON'T BUY IF YOU HAVE A MAC

This printer is terrible. Not only is this printer SO SLOW, it is also virtually IMPOSSIBLE to connect wirelessly to a Mac computer. Worthless. Don't consider buying this if you have a Mac computer or you will certainly regret the headache in the future.

First one stopped working in two days. This new replacement is working as we speak. I hope to keep this one for a long time.

Very good color printer

5 stars so far. (only 30 pages printed until now) Energy efficient and enters sleep mode using very little power. Have printed both photos and documents and like the quality. A full set of a black and the three colors toner cartridges came with it.

Runs out of paper

Every time it would get low on paper and I would add more, or run out of paper, the lights start to blink and the printer goes unresponsive. The only way I could reset it was to disconnect the power cord and remove the battery. Then re-submit the print job all over again. What a PAIN!!!! Talked with tech support and they couldn't figure it out!! All they could tell me was to reset it by powering it down..... ugh!!!!!

Great feature set. Perfect for home/small office

The installation didn't start automatically as stated in the quick start guide, but went flawlessly and quickly from the included CD. Print quality is very good. The colors in scanned documents seem to be slightly faded but that's probably adjustable if needed. Scan and print speed is quite decent for home use. The automatic document feeder works very well. The printer is not overly big, pretty quiet, goes in energy saving mode when idle for a while, and doesn't seem to be constantly recalibrating like my old HP printer did. Wireless networking capability eliminates clutters. I haven't tried ePrint, but everything else that I use frequently works as expected or better.

Good Value

Arrived on time. Functions as promised. Very nice print quality. No speed demon, but in my home office application, that is a minor issue. 4 stars rather than 5 stars because scanner does not work with wireless setup. Printer works perfectly with wireless, but scanner cannot be found. Have re-installed a couple times. No error messages on install. The install simply does not assign IP for the scanner, so a "communication error" always results. I live with the scanner through USB connection and it works.

Rugged

First trip using the printer, it fell off the carrier going through airport security. Put it back together, the covers flew off, plugged it in at my next stop and it worked fine.

Really like this printer/copier/scanner.

This was a replacement printer and met all my needs, including the compact size. A few problems installing to the various PCs in household, but this very well could have been me and I would not review at a lesser rating due to this since I am not a techie. The scanning program is wonderful and so simple. Warm-up time and printing speed faster than the old printer. I am very satisfied with this purchase and the delivery time of the product was much faster than I expected.

No luck with this product

I returned one Officejet 100 Mobile printer because it failed to feed the paper. The replacement Officejet 100 performed no better. Thanks to HP, I decided to try the Officejet 150 and it performs great. Hasn't missed a feed and produces great prints.

Very Nice Mobile Printer

I did my research on mobile printers before buying this one. I chose this beauty because it comes fully loaded with all the features you could want in a mobile printer. Comes with a Replaceable Rechargeable Lithium Battery, and Bluetooth that's already built in. My Laptop runs Windows 7 & Installation was a breeze. I had already installed my Bluetooth dongle on my laptop previously before buying this printer. I was SHOCKED that I never needed to hook up the printer to my laptop with a USB pr...

Exactly what I was looking for.

By Gershwin

This beautiful printer is just the right size. It set up easily and works like a charm with my iMac and iPhone. The features are plentiful and intuitive. Changing the paper size couldn't be simpler. And I like that I am given the choice to have it render greys with only the black toner, to save on the colour toners, and because I prefer the neutral hue of the result. I love that it will put itself to sleep and wake quickly, so I can leave it on all of the time and not worry about the power ...
