We have had the printer now for 2 years and it is without a doubt the best printer we have ever owned. It is a little pricey up front but the running costs are more than worth it. Often multi-function printers are good at one thing and not so good at other functions, this is not the case with this printer. It does all the functions flawlessly. Definately recommend it...even with OEM toner it works great.

Aside from the small size of the operation panel, the printer works great. The problem I am running into is that the printer drawer size is limited and no 500 sheet option.

This is the second generation of HP "all in one" that we've purchased. We don't do high volume printing and this machine eats through expensive laser cartridges like mad. The printer roller has torn leaving the machine inoperable in just 18 months of use (our previous one lasted 6 years). I won't dare add up the cost of each document, else I would be enraged! I have an HP5 BW from the mid-nineties that still works and rarely needs ink. HP's policy is dump affordable rubbish machines that devour ink (huge back in profits for them at our environmental expense). I'm presently looking for a better option, and am through with HP as our color laser printer.

I'm extremely pleased with this printer. It is versatile, robust, and fits nicely on an average size table. Installation and setup were quick and easy, including wifi, after which everything checked out well. I also have third party scan software and configuration was a 'no brainer.' I highly recommend this printer, but be sure to set it on a very sturdy table or stand since the unit is quite heavy.

I deliberately over-purchased; I do not need the capacity now. Easy to install, does great on regular paper printing, good color quality. I've yet to try on scrapbook/photo paper but anticipate great results. She's a heavy beast. Only problem? I need a longer cable to connect to the computer, so had to do some re-arranging. I've not tried the wifi function but anticipate it'll do great too. My daughter was using my 15-year old HP hand-me-down printer. I've always had great luck with HP printers, even refurbished ones, which this laser is not.

Love this printer because it copies, prints, scans and does it easily and quietly. The print copies are sharp and professional.. don't waste your time and effort on anything else. This printer is amazing and worth every cent. When my husbands printer goes out, he wants one too. He's so jealous of mine! Thanks for a great product. Did I say I love it?

My wife and I bought this printer and were very excited about it. Unfortunately, we had problems from day one. Whenever we printed color pages out, the colors were badly distorted. We figured that it was just because it was brand new and that the colors would settle in after we printed several color documents. When the problem failed to resolve itself, we contacted HP. They ran some tests and determined that the blue color cartridge was defective. They replaced it promptly and for free. After installing the new cartridge, it printed great and we were happy with it. Approximately 6 months later, we started having issues with it failing to print. We were usually able to resolve the issue by turning the printer off and back on. It was frustrating and inconvenient, but we were always able to get it to print eventually. Now, less than 2 years after we purchased the printer (and conveniently out of warranty), we can't get it to print at all. We tried software updates, and the self help section of the HP website but still have found no solution. HP isn't willing to help without us forking over even more money. We are very disappointed as we felt that $300+ dollars would get us a higher end printer that was relatively problem free. After having been HP printer and laptop customers for many years, this experience has caused us to reconsider.

The printer is heavier than the HP 8670 which was replaced but ithas a definitely smaller footprint and a height. I have my PC computer attached with a lan cord (big telephone jack on each hand) to my router and the router is in the same fashion connected to the printer. My Mac computer is across the room and connects to the printer wirelessly as does my I-phone and I-Pad. The scanning program is much easier than the previous software. The speed is more than adequate and noise level quite reasonable. Pictures do come out darker than I would like but I do not use this computer for photo printing. There have been no problems in one month of usage with paper jams. The automatic document feeder has been flawless. The somewhat limited paper storage is offset by the fact at this reduces the overall height of the printer-an advantage for me. I did have to call technical support on one occasion during set up. The first technician with whom I spoke was very polite but could not be understood because of his Indian accent. I was referred to a second technician who provided excellent help. The problem had nothing to do h the computer or the software but rather to the fact, in my original configuration, the printer was attached directly to the PC. Once the technician instructed me to check these connections, I realized the problem and moved the printer connection to the router. He was very patient decide despite my stupid mistake. I would deftly recommend this machine and would recommend direct purchase from HP. Thus far, I have absolutely no complaints.

The list of features is great but there are a few things to know 1. the manual in no way resembles the built-in menus of this machine - you simply can't use it to set this machine up. I hope HP sees this as an embarrassment. 2. When this printer goes to sleep it doesn't wake up unless you press a button or turn it off then on again which means unattended printing isn't possible. 3. If you want to set up ePrinting or air drop you are going to need to call HP.

I don't like the energy saver on the printer, since using Wi-Fi from another room, it's shutoff. I've learned to save and send the computer by the computer. So far, we haven't had any paper jams. It was super easy to setup. Purchased the 3-year care package, which was a headache to setup with HP and hopefully I don't need that long of warranty.

Our HP 227 is hooked up to our wireless network but will only print wirelessly half the time. The print time is very slow most of the time. one day it works well, the next day it's printing in B&W at 4 pages a min. Not impressed at all.

We bought the M277 to replace an earlier HP color laser for home use. The M277 has the advantage of built-in scanning and copying so we don't have to rely on 2 devices. Print quality is excellent, as expected. Speed and resolution are both fine. The price of replacement cartridges exceeds the price of the printer!

The use of the product could be greatly enhanced if a users' manual accompanied the printer. I had to contract with an outsider service provider just to install the product. Even the outside technician had problems completing the installation. In short, the installation increased the price of the printer by around $100. I presume an online users' manual could be made available by HP, but instead it chose to allow this customer to fend for himself.

So far no issues. Print quality is great. Has all the software features of a SMB printer. The only thing I would change is one cannot add a third tray and the tray holds less than 50 pages.

I have used the printer 6 times so far. Four out of six times it printed gibberish...just a bunch of mixed text some text were printed over each other. Not sure why this is happening but it is disappointing. I can only give it one star.

I have always had good experiences with HP printers but stupidly bought a Samsung two years ago when my trusty old HP finally conked out. I had nothing but headaches with the Samsung so I finally chucked it for this printer. It is FABULOUS! Smooth functioning, crisp printing, DUPLEX PRINTING! (hooray!) and several other nifty features. A couple of them took some figuring out but that didn't take long. I normally don't review anything but books... but this printer is worth raving about. You will not be disappointed.
